  • Oh ignore all that, people are a bit jumpy sometimes. Look at all them thanks you got!
Mine is still "being processed", a bit annoyed I won't be able to get the free waffle maker before the December 31st deadline. I might try mailing them the email confirmation of my order and trying it on. Nothing to lose.

Feeling a bit foggy this morning. Must have been the mince pies!
The longest I waited was three months. To be honest I was not waiting I had forgotten about it! It was for a cracking LCD TV.

The retailer could took funds via a credit card and refused to supply the goods, an equivalent or better model as per their own T+C's. I kicked off politely but firmly, contacted trading standards, wrote and E-Mailed their Chairman and all their directors, quoted their own T+C's, called into question their mission statement and their customer care policy etc....and waited

I had given up on it. But two months later I started getting phone calls fom people claiming to be their directors apologising and saying their had a supply issue. A week after that my credit card was credited for a second (!)time.
A month later I got two TV's. The one I ordered and a higher spec model! I didn't dare complain!
So patience AND tenacity! I like your style! ;)

Those mince pies are swines, aren't they? ;)

Is the deadline to claim the waffle maker or the date you need to have bought the item?

I'm really pleased you've posted back. I don't think we'll get these, but it's worth a try. Many thanks for your OP. It's people like you who make this site so compulsive.
  • Hi OP,

I am also very grateful for your sharing.

Have a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Sadly application has to have been received by then. Given the state of 1st class post at the moment that probably means posting it last week!

Same here OP - thanks for sharing. I shall be delighted if I receive my order and will thank you with each portion of food I process!

    Merry Christmas.
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

I don't fancy finger waffles, personally. Much prefer square ones. And they're only about £30 so you can get one with the money you saved if you REALLY want one. ;)

Yeah but I could eBay the freebie and pay for a chunk of the food processor OR stick it in the loft until I need a wedding gift to someone (ticks all the boxes - looks expensive, easy to wrap, utterly useless).
