Then they tried all the excuses under the sun to get out of the contract. It didn't work, they had to settle eventually but it took three months.
I'm sitting tight and waiting until New Year. I'm hoping my order got through before they realised. Also, by not contacting and alerting them I'm hoping I will slip through the net!
I'm off for a mince pie and a single malt. I'll check back later. Fingers crossed and sit tight...TL0 -
I ordered quite early on day 1 at around 10.30, and my order changed to Processed around 12.00. Until now, I was quite hopeful despite all the worries. The company had been registered for 5 years along with the website, so for it to be a scam it would have had to have been thoroughly planned!!!!
But, with all this talk of s'ome will be honoured' (processed) and 'some won't' (waiting processing) I couldn't resist calling my credit card to see how far the transaction had gone. It has been registered, but NO payment has been taken. Apparantly it can stay like this for up to 10days and the shop don't have to actually complete the transaction. If this is the case, I would imagine they will cancel all transactions, which would mean no money would actually be taken, and so no contract. I know what I would do if I were them :-) Would be interested to hear of anybody that has any completed transactions?
So, not very hopeful now, but you never know. Fingers crossed and Happy Christmas, it still could be a very happy one :beer:0 -
I've been out today but just got back and received this e-mail;
Hello,
Dameon
With reference to your order,we have begun to process your order, and as soon as we receive the items from our suppliers we despatch to yourself.
You are probably looking at the first couples of weeks of january.
Regards
Sharon
I say sit tight and chill out. Those that are panicking, do yourselves a favor and cancel your orders otherwise just enjoy Christmas and look forward to a very happy New Year. I very much doubt people will be ripped off, believe it or not it is very rare for a company to charge cards willy nilly....
Happy ChrimboConsider anything only don't cry!0 -
Hi Dameon
I've pmd you the screen grab as promised.
Hope it worked.0 -
I've come home to an email saying the status of my order has been changed to 'order received and being processed'.
Surely if they were not going to fulfil orders they'd have emailed straight away. Fingers are still firmly crossed here.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
Thing is they can always default to sending out emails saying "out of stock, delivery in the new year". Waiting for new supplies will give them about two weeks to consider their position along with getting legal advice etc.
Anyway, by then we'll all be hunting some other snark so no worries...Reading this signature is a waste of time0 -

Feeling a bit foggy this morning. Must have been the mince pies!
The longest I waited was three months. To be honest I was not waiting I had forgotten about it! It was for a cracking LCD TV.
The retailer could took funds via a credit card and refused to supply the goods, an equivalent or better model as per their own T+C's. I kicked off politely but firmly, contacted trading standards, wrote and E-Mailed their Chairman and all their directors, quoted their own T+C's, called into question their mission statement and their customer care policy etc....and waited
I had given up on it. But two months later I started getting phone calls fom people claiming to be their directors apologising and saying their had a supply issue. A week after that my credit card was credited for a second (!)time.
A month later I got two TV's. The one I ordered and a higher spec model! I didn't dare complain!Never ever pay full price for anything and question everything at least twice!0 -

OP hasn't posted since this AM and they only joined today, this is their one and only post ever. I have tried to logon to my account on this website and prompted to have my password sent several times now. I haven't received any replies.
Hopefully ordering with a credit card covers us if this never arrives.
I have a job......... and a busy one, I am back on today as it is quieter at work today before Xmas. I have subscribed to the newsletter for a while, I didn't ever go on the chat rooms, but whilst looking for some info on a mortgage I spotted them. Thought it would be nice to share this. Thanks for the welcome.
To reiterate I got the cast iron Cuisinart MP14NU - My friend also received hers the day after mine. I hope you are as lucky.
