lol SMTC, your post made me laugh!! it's a race to the finish line now ha ha, I only had ppi on 2 of my loans it turns out as well, I'd had 4 over the years but when I got my letter with the account numbers etc, to fill the questionnaire in they also stated on it that there was no ppi on the last 2 loans so I must have wised upto it by then lol, it was a long time ago when I had the first two though so the details of the loan advances are very vague, do you know if the HSBC loans generally have the ppi loaded as a single premium upfront or part of the monthly installment along with your payment? Just curious as I read on here that there's more chance of success if you paid by single premium? not sure why though, I am keeping everything crossed for the pair of us and am looking forward to hopefully having a little celebration when I get my money back!! :-)0

I've no idea about the loans sorry and what Hsbc do with them.
I'm pretty clueless to be honest about all this!
A little celebration? Speak for yourself as mine will be a massive celebration!!
Good luck!0 -
ok lol, we shall just have to wait patiently for the results!! postie has been today nothing yet...be 4 weeks this friday I think0
-
Yes. Four weeks on Friday for me to (receiving their letter and 5 weeks since I sent mine).
I'm working away at the moment so am waiting on you posting some positive news before I get excited something has arrived with me.
See you in the first class departure lounge with a drink when they both arrive!!0 -
I think I'm about 2-3 weeks ahead of you guys with my HSBC claim.
I've sent the questionnaires back for 3 loans and 1 credit card, still waiting for a decision though.0 -
lol, I think there will be a few of us having a party in the departure lounge on this one then (hopefully) SMTC - I am not going anywhere anytime soon so rest assured I will be straight on here the day something arrives, good or bad. And yes I will see you in the departure lounge lol, I am dying for a holiday :-) x keep us posted on this thread nixx, you will no doubt hear something before us so keep those seats warm and the drinks cold!!!0

Good luck nixx.
We are 4 weeks since receiving letter back from HSBC tomorrow so according to there letter we still have another 12 weeks to go. Can't see how it takes them so long and the delay is frustrating to say the least.
I've just applied for PPI on loans and not credit cards (yet!)
See you there!0 -
5 weeks since the letter back from HSBC.
Just under a third of the way through the process. (I wish firms would stop advertising on TV about getting money in under 4 weeks!)0 -
I think it's going to go the full distance SMTC, read a post earlier about someone who has only received 1 letter from HSBC so far (same one as us acknowledging complaint blah blah blah) and their complaint was put in in mid June!!! so thats about 12 weeks in so far, they have followed up the complaint with another letter to HSBC basically saying they want an update before contacting FOS and still they have not had a reply, not even a 'we need more time' letter which they are supposed to send after 8 weeks!!! SO, November here we come then!! Grrrrrrrr...LOL0

6 weeks since letter back from Hsbc.
Come on!0
