• 7 weeks since letter back from HSBC which means not even half way through the expected waiting period!
• hi SMTC,

Jus to let you know I am still in the loop and still not heard a thing from them either , from what I gather we should be receiving a 'we need more time letter' this week as 8 weeks is approaching but I'm not holding my breath as a lot of people have posted to say they have gotten to the 16 week deadline and still not heard anything!!! I will not be happy if I wait 16 weeks and then my complaint is rejected, maybe no news is good news as the saying goes...:-)
• I think someone posted on this thread an email address for someone high up at Hsbc. If it gets to 8 weeks and nothing I will send a letter and email I think.
• that sounds like a plan, I think I might do the same. The email addresses are managingdirector@hsbc.com and chiefexecutivehsbcbank@hsbc.com

I will prob do mine early next week if no response, not sure how to word it tho, any suggestions?
• Shock!

I've had a letter (I feel like one of the kids in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with a golden ticket!) but all it says is that...

"not yet in a position to provide you with a full response to the concerns you have raised. Blah blah blah. Respond by 16 weeks from date complaint received."

Oh well. Back to waiting,
• thats more than I've had lol, looks like your ahead of me at the mo then even though we claimed moreorless same time, I shall repost if/when I receive a letter like the one you've had, I'm gna send an email next week if not heard anything.
• Any news Debbie?

I feel like I'm on the last lap but someone keeps moving the finishing line further and further back.
• had my 'we need more time' letter just now!!! lol, so your a week ahead of me SMTC... as you say it's back to waiting until mid November which I had prepared myself for anyway TBH. Looking like it's gonna be a winter sun holiday then!! ha ha, even if we are successful I think receiving the actual money is still a long way off as I have read a lot of HSBC posts about claims upheld and acceptances sent off and 3 weeks + later people are still waiting for payouts!! Grrr...
• At least you've received the letter.

If I get the letter saying I'm getting money I will charge them interest for each day they don't pay!
• yes true true, good idea bout the interest as well :-)
