I've received some post from HSBC saying they don't have the information as it's over 6 years since the loan was settled.

However, they have given me my account numbers so I'm going to claim back for all 3.
    Good luck and fingers crossed.
  • Just filled out 3 questionnaires and sent them off recorded delivery.

    Fingers crossed.
  • Checked online and HSBC have received my 3 completed questionnaires/claim forms.

Fingers crossed I hear back from them soon (entitled to 1 claim but hoping for 3).

    Everything crossed for you xx.
  • Is there any guide on how long banks take to reply to these claims?

I am going off on holiday a the end of this week and would like to progress with this before I go away. (Not expecting to get resolution just chance to turn down a paltry offer!)

most banks have 16 weeks to reply to you. depending when your complaints went in, you should expect an answer by 31st august 2011

    hope that helps :D

In my own experience, I was told (before I requested for a SAR) that they will not hold the data beyond the last 6 years, but decided to give it a go anyway and I received data going back as far as very late 1999.
I am not saying this will happen in everyone's case though, but I just did not expect to receive anything as old as I did lol.

    Good luck on this.;)

  • HSBC have called today asking about what accounts I want information about. They should know I've sent them 3 questionnaires.

Guess this is the start of them using delaying tactics.

    Hi there

    That would not surprise me.

Did you enclose the account numbers for each reclaim?

Email address to their CEO if required, good luck.
