  • Just a couple of questions about the questionnaire I'm filling in to send HSBC

Do I fill in one for each loan?
Is there a letter to fill in to accompany this or do I just send the questionnaire(s)

    Thanks

Hi there,if you have the same reasons for all loans for mis sell then put all account numbers on the one form, if they are different reasons, then do one for each one.
  • Thanks.

Received the first loan info within a couple of days of asking and not received the other two loan documents. Hopefully it's HSBC buying time before I go in for the kill!

Good luck on this, fingers crossed.;)

  • HSBC have just called up apparently they don't keep any paperwork for any loans which expired over 6 years ago.

One loan (about 20k) was settled early May 2005.

Anyone got any advice on this? They claim they don't keep any more information apart from date closed.

Looks like I can only claim back for one loan.

You need to send £10 and request all info that they hold on you.
    This should throw up everything.
  • The woman on end of phone said all information is destroyed after 6 years.

    Is this a lie?

The woman on end of phone said all information is destroyed after 6 years.

    Is this a lie?

i believe that is correct, after the account has become inactive and after 6 years under the data protection act the information on you can be destroyed.

  • So looks like I can only claim back the most recent one.

Will put the other account info onto the claim and keep fingers crossed
  • I've received some post from HSBC saying they don't have the information as it's over 6 years since the loan was settled.

However, they have given me my account numbers so I'm going to claim back for all 3.
