    Did she ask?

It is a very common item and if it was also a wholesale Chinese supermarket, they would definitely stock it in 5 litre containers like this.

Sqeaky explains all in the White vinegar threads :)

  • I got some in Morrisons, it was with the other vinegars. Prob best to buy in bulk elsewhere though, I managed to use half a bottle in the bathroom alone :o

  • WOW! After trawling through here and hearing great things, I thought I would give it a go on my old enamel bath. We live in a hard water area and most limescale products can't be used on enamel. It's amazing! I honestly thought the only remedy would be a new bath. Genius! :j
  • It's so cheering when you can find a cleaning-product which actually works and is dirt-cheap, isn't it? What vinegar won't shift, the answer is usually washing-soda crystals or bicarb. Cheap as chips and so satisfying.

Welcome to Old-Style by the way.
  • Thank you :D I've been a lurker for a while, mostly for recipes. Definitely addicted :)

Where do you find it cheap?
I've just found bottles of cheap malt brown vinegar. I haven't seen white that hasn't been quite expensive.

I buy mine in 5 litre bottles from a large Chinese supermarket .... and yes, I used to get some odd looks when I'd buy 18 at a time (I don't live that close to it, so stocked up !!!)
