    Non brewed condiment wouldn't be much good for a lot of OS uses though! - bit smelly :)

    astonished to find out that vinegar is a by-product of alcholol.

    But vinegar itself contains no alcoholic properties. The alcohol is distilled so that you end up with acetic acid.

    There are conflicting views as to whether or not vinegar is halal or haram - try putting "vinegar halal" into Google.
    and i am sure that i have read somewhere that it is advisable to have it in house together with other products such as honey and olive oil etc
    any views on this?

    Yes - that you need the oil & honey to mix with the vinegar to make a decent salad dressing :D

    Hello everyone hope ur all well

    basically ive been told to use white vinegar and baking soda for my nasty smelling kitchen sink, which then got me wondering what else i could this vinegar for...:confused:

    ive never used the stuff and worried ill use it once, itll go in the cupboard where it wont get used again!

    I searched the forums to see if i could just find a similar thread but i couldnt seem to find one so i thought id start one! i did see a few posts saying people use white vinegar for fabric conditioner and cleaning microwaves etc and i very interested, as i spend alot on cleaning bits!:rolleyes:

    so if any of you have any tips or ideas on what i could use this vinegar for, do let me know and ill tell you how i get on!!

    Bye the bye, if you see 'rubbing alcohol' is US cleaning recipes, it is known here as 'surgical spirit'.

  • I have been looking for white vinegar for cleaning purposes for a while!! Does anyone know where I can buy standard cheap white vinegar?
