Buyer demanding I leave items in house..

Someone isn't eyeing up your cooker, they will want it for resale, it will be company policy. You're not doing them a favour by selling them your house, they're doing you a favour by part ex-ing yours.
I'm merely suggesting how you go about doing it in an MSE way. I even said if you can't negotiate your way out of it, so I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't.
I might have lost my sense of humour this evening, but not sure what the relevance of the TV is at all. Not funny, not particularly clever.
TV - I was just stating that they are demanding I leave and item that was not agreed in the sale, so there is nothing stopping them asking me to leave another item also.
When I signed to buy the house from them, EVERYTHING included was on there form in black and white, from the turf to the carpets, hob, cooker, boiler etc.. I have not at any point signed anything to say I would leave them my oven, so I find it rather annoying that they demand I do so.
There offer for my house did NOT involve my cooker as it was not stated in there both verbal or written offer. Everything they have included in there sale was wrote down for all to see.0 -

No matter which way way you dress it up, you're moving into your new house with a new cooker because of them agreeing to take your house. They give you a house with a cooker, you give them a house with a cooker.
Just noticed your edit -You think that because they give me a cooker I have to give them mine? I dont know how you come to that conclusion but Im pretty sure that there is no legal obligation to do that..
And by the way, no ones doing anyone any `favours' here, they are buying my house as I am buying one from them.0 -

Helloooo? Refer you back to my first post again where I said "If you can't agree"And by the way, no ones doing anyone any `favours' here, they are buying my house as I am buying one from them.
If you say so.
You'll give yourself a coronary if you carry on and you're not even keeping the cooker yourself!
If you want to stick to the legals of it; have you exchanged contracts or not?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I done a part exchange with barratt a few years ago and its very hassle free compared to most house moves, they even allowed us a few days to move our stuff out of the old house.
I dont understand why you would want to create a bad relationship with them over a 2nd hand oven, the person dealing witht the part ex is probably following company guidelines of some sort!0 -

Company Guideline 1297: 2 days before completion is due to take place, insist that the vendor leaves an item in place previously not agreed in negotiations, if they refuse then advise that we will reduce our offer price of the said purchase.
Sounds like a great company policy to me. If you had got this far down the road and your buyer insisted you to leave something that you had not previously agreed on would you not be slightly annoyed?0 -

Why do you keep going back to edit your posts after I have already replied to them?
Anyyyyyyway, what has your fist post got to do with anything? I was answering your line of `They are giving you a cooker so you should give them one'..
No we have not exchanged contracts yet, Im going to have a long chat with my oven tonight and see what she wants to do about it. Clearly no-one in this thread is taking her feelings into consideration here.. (okay, its getting late...)0 -
You could always go back to them and tell them your price has gone up accordingly for leaving it behind.
Ask them exactly how much they would reduce the offer by if the item is not left0
