Oh shut up, it's always a pathetic thing to see on these boards when ever anyone disagrees on threads like this they are accused of working for the company. How many posts do you see under my username? I am a regular here. And previously I have been accused of working for tesco on a similar thread.0 -

I found it necessary to warn ppl on here about the bad food served up by Wetherspoons. It does not matter about refunds. We go into a Restaurant to eat, and sb standard food thats not edible is not what I ordered whatever the cost of it!0 -
But it's not an endemic problem with Wetherspoons is it, as lots of people here have said they have had no problems, you only mentioned someone else in your family had a similar experience at the same outlet. But you've decided this means the whole chain is terrible.
It's obviously not - because of what people have said here. And I would say even your branch was good because they rectified bad service, and probably unbeknown to you they investigated what had happened and identified who was at fault.
I really don't see what your problem is, and this does not warrant a mention in the Warnings boards.
If anything the replies you have got have encouraged me to try going to a wetherspoons for food.0 -

And I further dispute that they rectified the bad service, because the second time around the meal may have been warmer but it was tasteless and rubbery!
I further dispute, and say that this thread does definitely warrant amention in the Warnings board. Evidently this Wetherspoons has done nothing by way of putting its house in order. Further more other members of this forum have also complained about their Wetherspoons!
I hope that Wetherspoons as they are spending £25 Million in upgrading their pubs, will now ALL serve satisfactory meals whether the costs are £10 or £20 for 2 ppl! And take on proper staff that are Chefs.0 -
We ALWAYS look for a Wetherspoons in a new place - they are always predictably GOOD:T in our experience of a dozen or more.:j
There will always be mishaps with even the best eating places - but they haven't let us down yet.
For other discerning eaterswho also have TomTom Sat Nav - you can download a POI file from the wetherspoons website

I think wetherspoons are great! Cheap and cheerfull, have never had a problem with them. all of thier childrens meals are additive free etc choices are good, they have always been helpful when I have been. recently whilst on holiday we went for breakfast, 5 breakfast and drinks for less then £15 - and it was fresh!
As for the chefs comment my brother is a trained chef but in most of these places, you don't use waht you learn at college etc, it either goes under a grill, turbo oven, in a microwave or deep fryer! He worked for a very large reputable establishment/chain - better then wetherspoons.Weight loss so far :
Week 1 - 4.5lbs
Week 2 - 2.5lbs = 7lbs0 -
I can't really fault Weatherspoons when it comes to their food. Burger, Chips and a pint of Strongbow (£2.10 by itself) for £3.99 is excellent value. On the one occasion the food hasn't been upto standard i've found the staff to be extremely helpful.0

I think taken as a whole entity they are a good chain of pubs, and I suppose the quality of food matches any other major pub chain.
JDW will dish out many 1000s of meals a day and it is likely that on occassion the service or the quality will not be as good as it should be, but that is life, people are only human and they did TRY to rectify the situation.
So I think it may be time to just let it go. Just move on and eat somewhere else.0
