as the account is dormant its very unlikely anyone would attack it, that would also be very difficult to achive from a member of ebid as generaly speaking its 1 person 1 account personally speaking i would never attack a account of any one what ever they said for the simple reason this brings the whole internet e-commerce system into disrepute how ever i will look into some one account if i suspect there up to no good
If it helps you feel better to believe I am that Soolin then go ahead. It is obvious that your entire argument rests on that incorrect assumption, but hey ho.
BTW In your world am I also the Soolin on ebay as well, otherwise your theory rather falls flat? Also have you found Soolin on Amazon and on Priceminster and Greenmetropolis otherwise it seems your theory doesn't exactly work?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am now horribly confused. So are you saying my name *is* Soolin and i make hundreds of sales on ebid and for some reason I am trying to pretend I don't...
AS for sharing info, are you saying that on ebid people don't share useful tips? I think that is quite sad, on here we often give advice and you can see for instance several useful threads about car boots with people sharing info. If you check my recent posts I have also advised people to use venues other than ebay for specific items as I do not believe there is a market on ebay for certain items.
I'm also not sure at all why you say I have no confidence in my goods..I am wondering if you are in fact getting my posts muddled with someone elses. On ebay I have an extremely high sell through rate , on ebid i sell nothing. I have also posted on more than one occasion that I have moved away from book sales as my Amazon sales died almost completely last Autumn which means i rely more on my Ebay sales of non book items to make up the shortfall.
As for the post you quoted, I completely stick by what I said. I paid money to ebid for a lifetimes membership and my sales have never even covered that outlay (I started as a casual seller but was advised by forum members to buy a membership as it would increase my sales) . On ebay I list, I sell and I pack and move on. ON ebid I faff around listing, changing my items, removing stuff when I have sold out on ebay and I make nothing. So in my opinion if someone wants to use a site and have a chat and make pretty listings then yes use ebid, if you want to sell items then use ebay or Amazon or Playtrade or even Greenmetropolis.
"]I am now horribly confused. So are you saying my name *is* Soolin and i make hundreds of sales on ebid and for some reason I am trying to pretend I don't..."
im saying your user name is soolin on two sites i have never said you make hundreds of sales on ebid i dont know were you picked that up not on this thread.
"I'm also not sure at all why you say I have no confidence in my goods..I am wondering if you are in fact getting my posts muddled with someone elses."
i never said to you you have no confidence in your goods i said that to a another poster its you who are getting muddled.

i dont belive you do faff around listing on ebid i do however agree thats why some sellers fail they "faff around" could not of put it better my self,
" if you want to sell items then use ebay or Amazon or Playtrade or even Greenmetropolis.[/QUOTE]""
of course you can sell on the above sites but to emply they dont sell on ebid is wrong maybe you cant sell buts lots of other folk can, your own downfall in a inability to sell and or market to your own advantage does not give you the right to attack ebid witch you have done for years, there have been examples of good sellers on ebid in this very thread yet you have completly ignored or acknowledged them, you have upset a lot of people with your negativity about ebid even when some sellers came here and showed you and others they have and do sell well on ebid if your going to be factual then you need to admit your own failer and acknowledge others sucsse your imature attitude has destroyed what could of been a good thread0 -

wrong again my debate is your relentless attacks on ebid witch you have done for years and i do belive you are soolin on ebid, i really dont care were else YOU say you sell or what you sell thats not my concern0 -
soolin posted of her own experiences & opinions with ebid, that's what this & most forums are for, she pointed the OP in the direction of another ebid thread so that she could read more about it.
You & your ebid buddies have now made it into some kind of witch hunt, I think that you may have done more harm to the site than good.0 -

Also thanks for clearing that up about the different IDs.
I tend to use names that are kind of linked on various trading platforms but different ones on forums.
Mine are different all over and even on MSE there is a person who has met me in real life who knows me by a completely different pseud neither Soolin nor my real name, and probably would not know my real name if questioned.
Sometimes I will be reading a forum or something and there will be another user with a name I use elsewhere and I forget and wonder why I am posting there!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. that old chessnut the last time i had the pleasure of using this forum and debate with the same negative people a few months ago never effected my sales or the growing membership of ebid
again i dont belive what soolin says about her experiences on ebid her user id there tells a different story your basing what your saying on her word only why would you belive some one who clearly has a appointment with ebay on the board of auctions she has a clear biased towards that site this to me at least in part explains her attacks on ebid as ive said before she does not say it once or twice but is relentless over a long time, i cant belive some of you are that blind!0 -
scotchebidder wrote: »only certain shops appear on google your post was misleading without the facts what you emplied about google and ebay was wrong
I think you should listen to what other ebid sellers are saying on the ebid forum about unhelpful ebid supporters - they are talking about you.
To the rational ebid sellers on here - do you really want this guy arguing your case? He is doing more harm than good! If you know who he is perhaps a polite word to stop him doing further damage is in order. I respect the posts of mrsk for example as they are balanced and rational. Scotchebidder just spouts nonsense and conspiracy theories - seriously, how is he helping ebids cause?0 -

I don't have time to spend hours searching on ebid just to find out who is right and who is wrong (mainly because my comments have been about the behaviour of people on this board, not about the validity of ebid as a selling platform).
I'm not looking for ideas on what might sell on ebid so that I can jump on the bandwagon, my business is building up very nicely in my specialised niche area.
It's quite normal for people here to share information, provide links etc, we all do to help answer a query or to prove a point.
TBH anyone who is trying to prove a point without being prepared to back it up with evidence is not taken seriously here, so don't take offence if your word is not enough to demonstrate how good ebid is.0 -

I fear that your obsession with my expressed lack of ebid sales are rather clouding your ability to continue a rational discussion. You are mistaking the notion of an opinion with being somehow 'false' merely because I cannot agree with your opinion.
I have an opinion, I have stated it here, you do not agree. You have that right to disagree with me and I defend entirely your right to disagree with me.
You have become sidetracked with this assumption that I *must* be Soolin on ebid yet my views on being secretive are extremely well known, half the regulars here (i'm sure) no longer read my posts when I stress to people about keeping everything separate.
As it stood I responded to a question. If a couple of people had posted and disagreed I'm sure the OP would have felt they had a range of opinions and could make their own mind up. Your obsession with my posts is actually doing far more harm to ebid than anything I have ever posted and people must beging to wonder which one of us it is that has an issue with ebid and would like to see it get bad press.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
