thats taking out 10 hours work monday to friday and upto 9 hours on a saturday.you want a job or something??? lol
no point talking in gross figues given you dont get paid that
so £22,248
minus the £800 for the 8 Saturdays
£21448 gross
thats an hourly rate of £6.43 after tax/£8.34 gross
so not exactly in the lap of luxury
now how much do the owner drivers make?0 -

We are not all pricks as you so kindly put it. I am just trying to earn a living with HDNL. I took me 9 months to get employment after being made redundant, and this was the only company at the time I could find employment with and would rather work than sit at home on the dole. I understand that a lot of people on this forum have had problems with HDNL, and I am under no circumstances saying they are perfect, but please do not tar all members of staff with the same brush. I would suggest you to keep on at your suppliers to stop using the company if you are really that unhappy with the service provided by HDNL.
Yah, my HDNL guy is fine, no problems at all0 -

If they do such a good job, how come both times I've dealt with them I've been messed around. The first time I ordered shoes from Office and was given a delivery time but it wasn't convenient so I rang up to rearrange. The lady said they'd deliver after 5.30pm for me. They in fact tried to deliver between 12 and 3pm and I missed it! I was then told they'd returned my parcel to the sender. Not impressed!
And now today, I've taken the day off work to wait for them to deliver a parcel from Very. I used Very's tracking facility and saw that they'd sent my parcel to Sunderland. I rang up HDNL, and apparently I'll have to wait until Monday to get my parcel. How stupid do you have to be to send a parcel that's meant for Bristol to Sunderland? I need the clothes by tomorrow so I've cancelled my order.
I will be avoiding Office and Very, as well as any other companies that use HDNL, from now on!!!! Really not happy!0 -
Heh! My darling fiance! ordered me a PS3 from Very last week, it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but wasn't. The reason? 'It was too dark, so there was no access to the property'. !!!!!!! I live 5 mins from the town centre and 5 secs up a hill with a church next to it!Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.0

being near the town centre means nothing.
is it obvious where the access is?
ive been to places where they expect(and im not kidding) delivery drivers to climb over 6ft fences, round the back of long building etc with no sign age to even give a clue.0 -
I've just lost a large M&S order as HDN couldn't deliver it properly. They claim to have first attempted delivery & left a card (when I was in & looking out for them!), then had a delivery refused at my address (again I was in & expecting them to come so I know they didn't) and they have now returned the order to M&S. Who have refunded me no problem, but I feel I have really lost out here.
I can't re-order as most of the stuff is now OOS and that which isn't would cost considerably more as the promotion has ended and the codes I had can't be used again!
They had the correct address etc.
I've had Royal Mail orders from M&S arrive absolutely fine but if I place any more orders which come up as HDN, I may as well cancel them straight away.0 -
Wow, poor delivery companys, with Christmas being sprung upon them with no warning, I mean, it's not like Christmas happens on December 25th EVERY YEAR, they've had no time to plan and prepare!**This space is available to rent**0
