Let's get this thread moving again! :j

I'm planning to head to Florida next year with my girlfriend, first time for me and fourth time for her.

Just found a quote for a flight + villa package for £840ish pp. Checked the same flight by itself and it was showing as £530ish pp, so £300 per week for a villa for 14 nights - is this a good deal?

How big is the villa and is it just two of you in it? Is there an under occupancy supplement. if not then £600 for a villa for two weeks sound very cheap whatever time of year it is

Do google or search on here the travel company supplying the package as some of the villa packages are shall we say more reliable than others

Hmm - a deal indeed that would be. They give 14 days for 7 on an ultimate ticket usually (which anyone get get as well not just onsite) but "free" Disney rickets I have never heard of
Disney are one of the most price pretoectionsist comapnies there is and so serious discounts on entrance tickets are pretty much unheard of.

Obviously you may have been quoted a package price which may have included tickets within total price of your agent booked holiday which is a different thing

just because you have not heard of such a deal please do not assume you know better about what I paid for or didn't!

Sorry quite right - maybe you could share with us all how we can get our "free "Disney tickets please, especially as we are going again next year?
At £252 per adult for 14 day ultimate passes in 2013 it would be some saving for us with a group of 6 adults and a good fe w children and could sway us towards a resort rather than my much preferred villa
  • :)hi there I went to america in 2004 yes along time ago but let me just say we stayed at international drive and it was worth it there plenty to do on the strip in the evening and most hotels they have shuttle buses that run to all the parks. We are of back there next year already booked as it aint cheap quality inn on internation drive is good basic but has everthing you need. Remember that most hotels are room only but food is cheap and each child eats free with adults at most places. I would recommend you stay internaton drive as some of the disney places are a good 20min drive so evenings would cost you money to go out to the strip:T happy hunting and book soon as prices go up. 14days is the best and get you tickets this side also

    Hello everyone!

Today i've opened a savings account. It is especially for a once in a lifetime holiday to Disney which i intend to book for 2013!

I know its a long long LONG way off, but when will i be able to book?? I know that once i book it i will have something to look forward to and it will make it feel more real.

The reason i've gone for 2013 is there are 5 of us going. Me, the hubby, and the 3 kids! :D We will be looking to stay in Disney itself so also does anyone have an idea which hotel would be best for us?? The more budget the better really. I know we would be MUCH better off staying somewhere like a villa or international drive BUT we really want to stay in Disney because we will only be going once.

Thanks to anyone in advance who can help! :D:D:D

You can enter under the Esta scheme
ESTA only gives you authority to travel, not entry to the USA

    https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/application.html?execution=e1s1
If your electronic travel authorization application is approved, it establishes that you are eligible to travel, but does not establish that you are admissible to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. Upon arrival to the United States, you will be inspected by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer at a port of entry who may determine that you are inadmissible under the Visa Waiver Program or for any reason under United States law.

although with a conviction you will need a visa
Not necessarily. It depends on whether it is Crime Involving Moral Turpitude

In order to obtain an ESTA and travel under the Visa Waiver Program you need to be able to answer no to the following question.
    B) Have you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance; or have been arrested or convicted for two or more offenses for which the aggregate sentence to confinement was five years or more; or have been a controlled substance trafficker; or are you seeking entry to engage in criminal or immoral activities?

There is plenty of debate on these boards about what constitutes a crime involving moral turpitude.

I have no idea if you can still get the deal I got, it was a while back but I do hope you also give your bad attitude a holiday at some point during your 2013 break whether it be at a resort or your "much preferred villa". Have fun.
