Hello everyone!
Today i've opened a savings account. It is especially for a once in a lifetime holiday to Disney which i intend to book for 2013!
I know its a long long LONG way off, but when will i be able to book?? I know that once i book it i will have something to look forward to and it will make it feel more real.
The reason i've gone for 2013 is there are 5 of us going. Me, the hubby, and the 3 kids!
We will be looking to stay in Disney itself so also does anyone have an idea which hotel would be best for us?? The more budget the better really. I know we would be MUCH better off staying somewhere like a villa or international drive BUT we really want to stay in Disney because we will only be going once.
Thanks to anyone in advance who can help!
:D:D

Firstly to clarify its DisneyWORLD Florida you want to visit ? Not DisneyLAND California ?
Assuming that is so, the cheapest Disney hotels are the 'value' resorts, All Star Music, All Star Movies, All Star Sports, Pop Century and a new one for next year I believe, Art Of Animation Resort.
I dont know when you could book it, dont think you can do so yet though. Their booking system only goes to the end of 2012.
As for staying at a Disney hotel, that is all down to choice. Personally I would never do it. There is a lot more to the Orlando area than Disney.
Also, if budget really is an issue then you could do a LOT better staying on I-Drive.
Anyway, the choice is yours.

If its a package (ie Thomas Cook, Thomsons, Cosmos etc) your after that uses chartered flights then it will probably be may 2012. If its scheduled flights then usually the earliest you can book is 11 months before the date of your return flight.0

When in 2013 are you looking to go?
Virgin Hols will start selling up to Easter 2013 at the end of Nov 2011 (if it's the same as previous years)
Flights bought direct from Airlines will go on sale about 11 months before.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

You still have to buy Disney Park Tickets if you stay in a Disney Hotel, you just don't pay for parking.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

as above no matter where you stay you will need to pay for passes.
If you want to do it for a reasonable price you can do a lot worse than staying on i-drive,i have been looking for sept 2011 and the quality inn international is £453 on expedia for 2 adults 1 child for 14 nights can also get 12% cashback with quidco.
I stayed at the hotel last year and in my opinion is in a good location on i-drive 20 mins to disney,5 mins to universal,10 mins to sea world.the rooms are really nice for the money with 2 king size beds, fridge, microwave iron etc.most of which is extra £ at disney.
you do need to factor in car parking at disney unless you make use of the shuttle buses the hotels put on you are just tied to certain times.
but it all comes down to personal preference, you will only be sleeping in the hotel so my thinking is spend the money saved on accomodation on passes, eating out etc.0 -
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I honestly thought your passes were included! Imagine i booked up only to find out i couldn't get in when i go there! Lol. International drive it is!Slimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

Travel city direct are selling into 2013 so might be worth looking at them they are cheaper than virgin but backed by virgin(figure that out) We are a family of 5 and booked a villa as the thought of 5 of us in a room on disney property was well......I would have been up for murder after 2 weeks!! We stayed just off the 192 in Kissimmee - you would need a car but we could come and go as we pleased and not be tied to shuttle buses. Whatever you decide have a great timeThanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

Hi, we went to WDW last easter and stayed at the All Star Movies resort. You still have to pay for park tickets on top of your accommodation. The great thing about staying here (or any disney hotel, but this is the cheapest one) is that transport to all disney parks is included, and from our experience, very good! The rooms were ok, 2 double beds that were really high and felt smaller than an average double bed. rooms were tidied/cleaned daily and done really nice. The food was ok at the hotel as long as you weren't too fussy. And if you wanted to get a taxi to universal etc there were always taxi's waiting in the car park at the hotel and i think it cost us about 35 dollars one way to universal. Hope this helps!!0

Hi, I went last August and stayed at the Dolphin hotel in WDW it is stunning and also alot cheaper than the Disney owned hotels and while you cant have a dining plan or pay for things in the parks with your room key you do get the extra magic hours which is invaluble! I booked the hotel with ebookers.0
