Ive just upgraded my security details with them , new unique id etc, filled in all the answers to the chosen questions etc, pressed next and it just took me back to the first login page again where you choose either the old or new system. Put in my new unique id, and got a message

This doesnt bode well for getting my funding for my new Bond , from Tesco to HSBC where Newcastle BS is supposed to take it from on Friday.
I can live with them having teething troubles initially, but if they havent counteracted that by upping the staff on hand to man the phones so you dont have to hang around in queues, Ill be pretty miffed.

I've been round that loop with them as well.

The blurb at the top of the logon screen says :
We're making your Online Banking even more secure

Well its now so secure that I can't log on at all.

I tried to log-in and it says that I have to apply for a temporary pin number: why? it doesn't say anything about that in the letter they sent me.

No, I still cant this morning either. My patience is thinning. I tried treating it as if I thought my new id hadnt gone through , ie trying to log in using the old method to reset everything, but that just said I now needed a new pin and would have to have it by mail! Tried the new method again and put in details to have my new id prompted incase Id recorded it incorrectly in my own recollection system - but no, I hadnt, and it still wont work. Phew, Im not looking forward to contacting them. I just hope that doesnt mean heavy accents to contend with - Im just not good at them.

Yes, I had that this morning too. I think (hope!) it's an error, so will perhaps try again tomorrow.

Was on hold on their profit-making phone number for 30 mins before giving up. Not good.

On the one occasion that I got through it was to someone with a pleasant Scottish accent - not that he was any help as the systems were totally down at the time and he couldn't access anything either!
