well it's lovely on it's own ....or how about putting it in a fish pie or fishcakes?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

I would second the fish pie with a potato and cheese topping, also same with fishcakes. You could do a fish type quiche with the smoked fish and broccolli filling, lovelyy served with salad and potato wedges..... or have it for tea tonight done in breadcrumbs and shallow fried with chips and and bread and butter washed down with a cup of tea...........deliciousEvery days a School day!0

Haddock Chowder
Chop & lightly fry an onion (for low fat option use frylight spray)
Add a pint of milk, and some water, and bring gently to the boil.
Drop in the Haddock, for around 5 to 6 minutes, then lift out and allow to cool.
Dice a couple of potatoes and add them to the milk in the pan, lightly simmer until potato is cooked.
Meanwhile, when haddock has cooled a little, take the skin off and discard, and flake the haddock.
WHen potato has cooked , add the haddock flakes back in, cook for a couple of minutes more, season with salt & pepper to taste and serve.
Option to serve with some chopped parsley if you like
(Free on Slimming world extra easy plan (as long as you count the milk as healthy A option)0 -

I have recently had a glut of smoked haddock, and rather than just making fish pie (which it is excellent in!) we have had:
Smoked haddock carbonara-yummy
smoked haddock and leek risotto-also yummy
smoked haddock and potato bake-delicious, if sinfully bad for you
smoked haddock chowder-this is a favourite, I make it with skimmed milk.
and one we are trying this week-smoked haddock on mustard mash with a poached egg
The chowder freezes well, am sure the risotto and bake could also be frozen after cooking.0 -
I've never tasted smoked haddock so can't help myself but there is an older thread if you still need some ideas
Ill merge this later for you
ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
