I have awoken ridiculously early this morning, no doubt will suffer for it later. In fact I feel like I am now, but can't get back to sleep
Paid another £50 in to my ISA, so slowly creeping up. Well up and down I had to transfer out £100 in to my new current account to activate it but it will go straight back in there when I'm sorted. Not sure how easy this switching thing is, haven't done it for years. I need to keep a careful eye on it, have a free £1000 overdraft for 90days on the new account but only a £50 one on the old so can't afford for any errors to occur on that side. I hope I have more of an idea what's going on by the time I put my wages in next week, need to make sure they go in the right account.
On a good note it's the 1st July and time for a quarterly dividend from the business. Lovely 'unbudgeted' money to have fun with, off for a weeks camping in Scotland next weekend so really looking forward to that :j
Grr it's still only 5.45am, think I'll do some menu planning....LBM April 2011 £4906

Managed to get through to the tax credit helpline with only a 5min wait this morning, phoned at 8.05am. They have taken my new bank details and very kindly offered to forward them on to Child Benefit Agency too so that saved me a job. I asked them to check my renewal had been recieved, it has and is 'processing' and I also asked them to check if they were aware my daughter was staying on at school. They weren't, so good job I mentioned it or I would have had payments stopped in August for her! So all in all quite happy with what I got sorted out so far this morning.
I need to make some lists of jobs to do today or I have a feeling it will run away with me....LBM April 2011 £4906

Good news with the tax credits office and getting all that sorted! That's a weight off your mind, and it saves you another phonecall!
I need to make a to-do list as well. I kind of have a half formed idea of what I need to do today but I know if I don't write it all down somewhere I will go off on a tangent with one thing and not acheive everything that I want to!
Need to dash to the post office now though before it gets too hot out there. I am not talking to the sun today!:rotfl:0 -

Hahahaha! Can't miss that out, quick you must re-budget!:rotfl:
I fully expect at some point that I will realise I have missed out something glaringly obvious from my budget...0 -
It's all o.k this morning, realised I can get what I need to keep me going to DFD out of this quarters dividend then when I'm debt free and not plowing every spare penny into the ISA to pay back the loan the forecast for my budget looks healthy enough to support the habit. I can't quite get my head around what on earth I've been frittering money on over the years as it appears I can save well and live well too. Very confused!
Being inundated with email and mail sale offers, not looking!:mad:LBM April 2011 £4906

It's odd where money disappears too when you aren't watching it so closely! I know exactly what you mean.
My challenge for today is to go into town and to just buy BIL birthday present and not be tempted to buy something just because I am in town! Must remember the MSE mantras! Do I NEED it? Will I USE it?!0 -
Hope your succesful in your mission.
I took the plunge and ordered 2 x 500g bottles of Tramp (for hubby) and a 500g bottle of Grass for me. Checked when I had last ordered and it was 16th April, not quite finished the bottle yet so hopefully I can get the supply to stretch 4 months. If not will just use hubbys Tramp, I always get one extra to have in as I live in fear of it disappearing off the Retro list! Resisted the temptation to throw a couple of bubble bars in the basket as I have a wee stash plus a bottle of Smaragadine so should have enough to last. Was very good and got standard delivery, not next day as normal.
Seem to have a bit more money left in my purse this weekend than normal from the food shop, what I was in the habit of doing was getting 1/2 my shopping delivered from Asda/Sainsbury and purchasing the rest locally but I realised I was throwing stuff in the delivered 'basket' that I didn't really need just to bump up the order a bit more to make it worthwhile. We only have a Co-op in town or Lidl so very boring to shop but it seems to have saved me £'s this week not doing an online shop.
Also decided from now on not to 'plan' my weekend food menu, I've been in habit of doing weekly plans on https://www.plantoeat.com, great (I won free membership) but it keeps going pear shaped on a weekend when I have bought food in and then plans change spontaneously. So going to set money aside and go with the flow at the weekend from now on.LBM April 2011 £4906

Lovely day, got up at 5am and went fishing down the pier with my lovely hubby. Unfortunately didn't catch anything as fish didn't start biting till we had to leave but was still lovely to be out. Going down again later this evening so still a chance of 'free food' today. BBQ'd Friday nights mackerel catch last night, was most delicious.
Think I'll potter in the garden this aft, that should keep me out of mischief though I might start dreaming of spending money on plants:)LBM April 2011 £4906
