  • Wooh, can't believe that tomorrow I'll be able to think 'I'll be debt free next month' How time flies!

Really enjoying the last flurry of summer sun, got the hammock out yesterday and chillaxed while my Mango Chutney simmered on the hob. I think judging by the pan scrapings it is very nice :D Got 12 jars of the stuff (well 11, gave one away) so it better be.

Managed to scrape together another £90 to pay off the loan today, getting there, ready for the big push over the next month, well the next week really. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have only £500ish to go :j

Still having fun blogging away, it's a great distraction. Keeps my mind focused on other things than money :rotfl:

I'll be back later to catch up with everyone else hopefully. Hope you all had a good week.

  • Oh my, less than 4 weeks to go, this is getting scary! I've paid another £687 towards loan this week bringing the remaining total left owing to £504.24. It is lovely seeing the money sitting in my ISA, so going to hurt when I have to transfer it out of there leaving nothing. :( But I suppose if I've saved it once I can do it again. Though won't be quite as quick as from Dec I have a standing order to start overpaying the mortgage. Ho hum.

Having arguments with the kids as to whether the heating should be on yet, I think not. I think we should leave it off as long as possible! But seriously I don't think it's cold enough to warrant it and have no idea why they say they are freezing! DH reckons it's not cold either so they will have to wait :rotfl:

Opened the mango chutney on Friday night and was hailed a success. :)

Well that's it for now i think, I've lain awake for hours and gave up trying to get back to sleep. Got up about 6am and have frittered last hour away online, think I'll go make some soup now so don't feel so wasteful of time. I'll catch up here later.

Oh forgot to say had a bit of a moment and through my stupid plastic meat mincer in the bin and went on line and bought an electric one. Think I've got away with it but was scary 'old style' behaviour. And I bought 2 books of Amazon. Thought i'd gotten over that, very disappointed :(
