  • Well have returned from Edinburgh financially unscathed and very happy everything seems to be on track for Friday:j

Had a wonderful time but would not like to live in a city full time, too much temptation to spend! we are home without the 'Jacket' actually getting the money out of the cashpoint to physically hand over seemed to be the wake up call we needed. Hubby woke up on saturday and for the first time I remember asked exactly how we were going to be paying for it :rotfl:

So he is still going to get it (I insist, I was SO disappointed!)but when we have saved up for it properly, will be a very good feeling and worth the wait.

Was very satisfying to replace the 'business' cash box with the cash we had borrowed to use as the apartment bond. I am ashamed to say I had factored that into my plans and such a relief now not having to work out how to pay it back.

Did manage to buy him a lovely bottle of whisky to cheer us up though, a bargain of course at £10 off the bottle. But it's so good I'd buy it again full price.

So back to the grind and trying to live of real life not holiday budget. Ah well, it's worth the effort to sleep well :)

    Dear FutureMe,
hopefully if everything has gone to plan this is debt free day. If it is do something to celebrate, if not don't beat yourself up, obviously something unexpected occured. Just remember, never ever buy anything you can't afford again.

Forgot I sent that and can't remember why I had to change the date but I'll do as I told myself and not beat myself up :rotfl:
