Good evening,
Had a lovely day, been tourists this afternoon, walked into town to look at the old bikes and cars on display with it being 'Regatta Weekend'. Then wandered into the old part of town and found ourselves in a pub enjoying some lovely real ale. A little walk along the pier and on the beach amused our Westie and on the walk home seemed to find ourselves in another pub enjoying another pint. Hubby is cooking tea, rustling up a surprise seeing as I forgot to take anything out the freezer earlier, smells good tho :rotfl: and as an extra special treat purchased the first Saturday paper in months and I am enjoying slothing about reading that.
On the MS front looks like a £30 exit charge has been applied to my BG account, as expected, so £75 on it's way back to me sometime
Lovely to see a bit of sunshine again :TLBM April 2011 £4906

Hi NA
I've read through your diary and I'm loving your countdown
I know exactly what you mean about life flying by until you are on a countdown... I too am on a (non debt-related) countdown - in fact, mine is about 12 days longer than yours, so if you can make them both hurry up I would be delighted!!!
I love slobbing around sometimes, but you sound as though you have had an active day so far, so I think it's allowed!!
Have a good night

Another lovely day, I do like the weekend
Went for lunch with friends to a Thai Buffet, all you can eat for £7.95. Was a lovely treat. With 5 of us we don't do that kind of thing very often. Paid in cash
Hubby has been fishing and caught some mackerel, so free supper tonight and we can have what was planned tomorrow.
Got all my school uniform shopping done from the comfort of my bed, love my daughters shopping aversion :T and all the money to pay for it safely tucked away.
Menu planning done for next week, so relaxing for the rest of the evening watching a film. Ready for another week tomorrow.LBM April 2011 £4906

Not a lot to report today. Day has consisted so far of mostly tackling the ironing pile, thrilling stuff :rotfl: Checked the BG website and apparently they will credit the refund when they do the final bill which could take up to 30 days so will have to wait patiently for that one. Trying not spend it all in my head before it arrives!
All the school shoppping now done apart from shoes, going to have a look around the limited shops we have in town tomorrow and hopefully find some there. If not it'll involve a drive across the moors to the next town, which I really don't want to do so hoping we find some.
Well that's about it so of to catch up with everyone else....LBM April 2011 £4906

Hiya
Oooh you sound like you have had a lovely time. Free fun)
I am doing uniform buying next week when I have a week off - can't wait. DD is just starting school so this is the first ever uniform.
Will your kids go back in summer or winter uniform?

Hello! Just caught up on your thread!
While I don't want to wish the days away, I hope your countdown comes quickly for you!.
I'd LOVE to know when I'd be debt free. It's a bit of an unknown currently. I think having that date would really help me to focus!
Maybe when my work/business has settled down I'll be able work it out.
Looking forward to hearing how you get on!0 -

How cute, first uniform. I've been uniform buying for 18yrs  so rather jaded :rotfl:
One DD is going into 6th form so no uniform needed as they can wear what they like. She get's an allowance and has to look after that herself.
Don't really have much of a summer/winter uniform divide, they wear trousers pretty much all year round and just add a thicker coat for winter. I used to love it when they were at primary and you could put them in dresses for the summer.LBM April 2011 £4906

Off shoe shopping today for DD, I hate shoe shoppingand it's rainy. Going to have to fight hard the urge to 'cheer myself up' while in town :rotfl:

Hi Needingaccountability
Wahoo to the egg card - thats brilliant. The part of Yorkshire that you live in is beautiful, we often have a walk round there in the winter when there are less tourists.
I'm going shoe shopping with DD on Thursday, shes only 8 and is starting to object to some clothing/shoe purchases but on the whole I can get away with buying pretty much anything. DS on the other hand :rotfl:
Have a good day xx0 -
Had a reprieve, DD has decided she'd be better waiting till her trousers arrive before buying shoes. I did nothing to discourage that sensible notion
My other DD was asking when we could go off to the big city to shop for 6th form clothes. Was most relieved to hear her sensible big sister tell her she had enough clothes to last the first half term and why not just shop in Edinburgh when we're up? Saves me £15 petrol money
So off into town myself to do the weekly banking and a wee bit shopping.LBM April 2011 £4906
