Unoffical Existing Customer Balance Transfers

Have any existing Barclaycard customers had any success getting the 3 year BT rate of 6.8%, no fee, they are offering to new customers?
Also, are there any cards I can transfer loan balances to? I have a loan at 8.9% which obviously I would prefer to move to a CC and pay less. Can I settle loans with a CC, then balance transfer to another CC? Or do they have to be repaid with a debit card?
Many thanks0 -

You can indirectly repay a loan from any card that will let you transfer funds directly to your current account (a super balance transfer as we call it - although card companies don't call it that) i.e. you transfer the money to your current account and then repay the loan from your current account.

Does anyone have any recent experiences with Natwest?
I currently have their standard cc (had it for 4 years) with a balance of 0 and would like to do a BT on to it. Would it be best to ring up and ask them straight, or go through the whole closing of account charade in a hope they put me on to retentions?
I will update this post when I do call up.0 -

Worth going through the charade
I phoned them back in March to see if they could help me "de-clutter my wallet" - got a 9 month 0% offer with 0% fee
Tried the same with my Mint card (also backed by RBS) and got no luck there, so closed that and transferred the credit limit to my Natwest card.
Then tried to get a "top-up" on the 9 month 0% offer with the newly increased limit, but no luck with that"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
0% no fee sounds nice! I've phoned them up a few times over the past few months and they've offered me things like 6 months at 3.9% plus fee.
However, in the past week I've had the following offers:
Capital One 0% for 12 months with 3% fee
Virgin 0.9% until May 2010 with 2.98% fee
Not great, but okay!
I've taken advantage of the money transfer offer with Virgin, having been assured by two different people that the fee is the same as standard BTs - I hope it goes through okay as I haven't got anything in writing.LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Wow! I’ve never heard of this before and I think they’re awesome!0

Did you have any joy with Nat West ?,
I have just paid off the balance on a Nat West card at the end of a 0% as I have with a Halifax card and will need a decent offer in the next month or so to pay off a Virgin 0% coming to an end, asked both as I paid them off and no offers available to me but both said there maybe when its paid off.
Anyone actually had anything recently on Nat West or Halifax ?, maybe better to close them but both have decent credit limits and I had to get 2 otherf cards to pay them off so dont want to apply for another card for a few months.0 -
I've got an offer today from RBS today for a card that I have with nothing on it.
They've offered me 0% BT until June 2010 with a 3% fee.
I put a letter in the post to them yesterday (and five other cards) asking to close my account as I don't use it but they won't have received that yet.
I'm going to leave it until about Tuesday and then ring them and ask for the BT without a fee and see what they say.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200
