Yes there was. I was so incensed at the implied insult to my intelligence that I wrote to Barclaycard this morning cancelling the Mastercard (which had this offer) and the Visa card.0 -
Apologies liathach..! I missed the sarcasm. I didn't intend to insult your intelligence, as Barcalycard have...
I wasn't sure when in Nov the 0% was 'til; assumed it was end of Nov so up to 3 months. Pretty poor either way I guess.
I think you have to watch out for these BT fees though.
I think the only way I'll be getting 0% is from a new card... and I was turned down for the last one...0 -
MBNA just called offering 4.9% till March with 2% fee. Wouldn't budge on lowering this, but the girl did say the computer changes offers daily, so it looks like it's kinda luck of the draw as to what you get offered.
Think we'll just close the account and apply to Virgin next month.Herman - MP for all!0 -
My husband was daft enough to say 'no' when asked if he wanted to do a balance transfer from old card to the new interest free halifax one we now have - can we do a balance transfer now or is it a one chance only thing?
we called Customer services and they say no - but they get things wrong so often ... wasnt sure whether to push it or not?
thanks for you help

If its a new card, with an interest free period, then normally there is a time limit during which you can make the transfers. Often it's 1 month from opening your account.
I would check the T&Cs - if it says it in there, call them back and quote them.
If not, I'd call back & say your husband made a mistake / misunderstood / forgot about a balance on another card.
It would be a bitharsh if they turn you down after offering it to you... I'd even send a letter if necessary. Good luck0 -
I always pay my cc off in full. As I've spent alot on beef this month
I'm going to take out a 9month interest free card. Can I do a balance transfer before I receive my cc bill or do I have to wait until I receive it???

You should be able to balance transfer immediately. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
I received an offer from Halifax 4.95% until the full balance paid off with 2% fee no maximum. I called them to see if they would waive the fee and they refused, I said I would like to close the account and they did so in about one second. I then had to call back and pretend Ihad made a mistake because I did not realy want to close it. I thought they would have transferred me to their customer loyalty dept and given me anything i asked for.0
