Has anyone had any repeat offers from Santander recently ?, just paid off the balance after the 0% ran out and wonder if its worth holding onto the card.

    Thanks

Just phoned Natwest, who informed me that I have a 9months interest free balance transfer offer on my account (with 3% fee). Apparently these offers can change from day to day.

I paid off my A&L card which had 0% on balance transfers for 9 months, back in March 2010. Last month they offered me 0% on balance transfers again for another 9 months
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • I received an offer from Barclaycard for 0% until July 2011. I transferred a balance at the end of last month having cleared my statement and made an overpayment to clear what I had spent after the statement came through. Before making the balance transfer I checked to see that my balance was zero. Having received this month's statement I notice that Barclaycard have applied the overpayment to the balance transfer. My minimum payment for this statement is £5 and they intend to charge me interest of £5.15 next month if I don't clear the account in full.

Can they do this? My account was definitely reading zero when I made the balance transfer.
  • I tried to leave barclaycard the other day due to them increasing my interest rate, they offered me £20 credit to stay (Buy something nice on us was what the nice lady said) and to call up in a few months to see what other deals they could do for me :) awesome, I'll probably just cancel it anyway now lol!
  • Just been offered 0% balance transfer until December 2011 (15 Months) with Barclaycard @ 2.5% handling fee

tried closing halifax twice in the past 2 months, the first time they lowered standard purchase rate to 13.95% and then again after 3 weeks when i tried closing they offered 9 months 0% bt with 3% fee.

looks like some lenders who were alright during the last bust in 2008, like mbna are reducing limits/risks and shying away from big business whilst the ones which went nearly bust like halifax are drumming up their business.

I've been offered the same deal by Barclaycard. I've been a customer for 8 years and over the last 2 years, they have offered me a balance transfer fee at 1.25% - 0% interest for 12 months. They insist they cant do this now due to the current financial climate. Has anyone been offered a different deal?

OK this is my first post on this board and I could do with some advice.

I've currently got a Barclaycard Platium Visa (credit limit £4150, available balance £3150) and I would like to use the available balance to transfer another credit card so that i've just got one card and one payment to rememeber each month!!

At the minute the website is offering existing customers 6.9% on balance transfers (which is cheaper than the 18% rate on my other card) however when I have rang up I'm being told that I'm not eligible

If I used one card to pay the other off (instead of a balance transfer) does anyone know whether this would be classed as a cash transaction?? i.e. would I get charged a mega interest rate

    I don't want 2 cards... :(
