  • I would love to do it, I was all set for it last year and nobody would join me and then I started thinking I would never be able to raise all the money, just excuses I know, I am going to look on the website too.

you can just register your interest at the moment

I think the word "race" sometimes puts people off so make sure you tell potential fellow participants that there is no pressure to run.
  • Yeah, I have just registered my interest and am going to see what info they send me. I dont want to be one of those people who say I wish I would have done that but!!!!!!

if you are that determined to do it then do it alone if you have to.....your family and friends could always come along to support you by spectating or even volunteering to help out on the day, and once you get into the crowd it doesn't matter if you are in a group or alone - I don't suppose you live near Glasgow because if you did you could join us
  • Ahh thanks for the offer, but I live in West Mids, I thought they may have emailed me today but got nothing yet.

I will be doing it this year for the first time

I am really looking forward to it
Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get ;);)
  • Well done every who did it or plans to do it this year!
I did it with my mum in 2004 when we walked it, sort of jogged/walked on my own in 2005 and got round by willpower alone in 2006 as it was 3 days after my dad died from pancreatic cancer

I will be doing it again this year - either on my own or with friends if I can rustle up any willing volunteers!
