    Hello Lirin & twi1ight,

Lirin - I hope you found a doorstop to throw at your boss! Swimming sounds good, I should try and go soon - I can only manage a mad frantic doggy paddle though as can't swim well, so that could be awkward! I guess just floating around would be nice though.

twi1ight - sorry that you've been suffering since 16 weeks - I've slept with a pillow between my knees for the last couple of nights, but I've had my ankles crossed so will uncross them tonight! It's awkward enough sleeping and turning over though with a whacking great pillow to move with you isn't it?!

It's frustrating not being able to zip around and do things - I realise now all of the things that I've taken for granted, so it's definitely an eye opener in that respect, plus the fact that it will all be worth it in the end, and the pain hopefully won't even be remembered...(hopefully!).

Did go swimming, and it was wonderful, just lying floating on the water. DH was killing himself laughing and told me the young (actually, quite good-looking!) male pool attendant was trying hard not to look in my direction- DH said all you could see was a set of breasts and a huge bump..... :)

I think I have a cold- I feel completely drained, and can't stop coughing- my throat is raw. Loving the headache again, and counting down hours until work finishes today..... :(

Got the free newborn pack from Asda- fairly impressed- a full set of nappies, wipes and a baby hat!

Right hand side, orange box- register and list your details, then it shows you a printable coupeon- don't click on it if you're not near a pc with a printer as it has it's own software.

And try different positions.. some put more pressure on the cervix than others.. you on top means you have more control over how far things go and where they are...

    Morning ladies!

Thanks PP, I usually am on top as find this works best but that time only worked for OH, so I am still wanton for now :D

Apricot he puts no pressure on me, but we try what we can and if it works it works sort of thing. I can see soon it will be more cuddles and alternatives, which is fine and still enjoyed. I def recommend the hypno cd when you get it, as whatever one it is is bound to relax and if you are like me, induce sleep... I still wake up when they tell me to though so it must be working ok :p

BCS glad you are ok babe and nice to see you back :)

Lirin I went swimming last week but not managed this week, do want to though as it was a great feeling and just the woman in the shower put me off a bit with her uncalled for comment :o

Amazed at how long it has taken me to unwind from work and get used to being off. It's been over a week now, and now I do feel calmer, and sometimes able to sleep in.

Back still sore today so though I was planning to go food shopping and batch cook some more, I may leave that to tomorrow and stay home today with dvd's or something, especially as weather is blowy and 'orrible.

Pffft back to not sleeping again. Bah.

Think I'm going to give swimming a try - all that floating sounds like bliss! I've got a lovely hotel down the road that has a nice pool so think I'll try that and avoid the public pool. The public one seems to be closed the whole time anyway, darned budget cuts!

Labour vibes to SDH and Supermaiden and anyone else who wants them!

I had my usual check-up this morning and everything great: BP, iron levels, baby... However my Doctor seems a bit obsessed with my weight. I put on 2kg last month and she seems to think this is abnormal. Wonder if i should cut back on my daily ice-cream??:rotfl:

Ooh, on that subject, I was in Gap yesterday and picked up some great maternity wear bargains. Most of the stuff down to a tenner or less. However, I noticed they were selling size 2 maternity jeans!!!! They were TINY!!! Even Victoria Beckham would struggle to fit in them me-thinks.

Size 2 maternity jeans. that's not normal. I'll need to go along to Gap alison, I did look through the window the other day but looked such a mess. Baby Gap had loads of good bargains though!

Whoever got the Huggies baby box from Asda - don't forget to open it carefully - there are vouchers inside the cardboard for £2 off newborn huggies nappies.

Sparkle you're in the top ten now if you don't count the boldies
