Hello Lirin & twi1ight,
Lirin - I hope you found a doorstop to throw at your boss! Swimming sounds good, I should try and go soon - I can only manage a mad frantic doggy paddle though as can't swim well, so that could be awkward! I guess just floating around would be nice though.
twi1ight - sorry that you've been suffering since 16 weeks - I've slept with a pillow between my knees for the last couple of nights, but I've had my ankles crossed so will uncross them tonight! It's awkward enough sleeping and turning over though with a whacking great pillow to move with you isn't it?!
It's frustrating not being able to zip around and do things - I realise now all of the things that I've taken for granted, so it's definitely an eye opener in that respect, plus the fact that it will all be worth it in the end, and the pain hopefully won't even be remembered...(hopefully!).0 -
From the beginning with this pregnancy I've been so, so careful rolling over in bed, getting out the car etc with my knees together as much as possible to prevent SPD. I had it very early with DS2, from 17 weeks I think, although i got pregnant 7 months after a car accident so they think that was a factor. So far I've had little twinges and the worst was after DTD with DH the other night on our anniversary :rotfl:Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Hospital has just phoned me, had my bloods taken the other day and apparently my blood sugar is very low, I hadn't eaten much that day but I'm worrying myself sick now I'l end up with diabetes. I'm only 11 weeks
If you hadn't eaten much that day that would probably be what caused the low blood sugar hun. I get low blood sugar in the mornings sometimes when I haven't eaten - going to be a bit of a nightmare when I go for my GTT and can't eat from midnight the night beforeThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

I know it's easy for someone else to say, but please try not to worry to that degree - be reassured that they've spotted it early and will be able to help you. You need to be as relaxed as possible for you and the baby.
As kandboys said, it could be because you hadn't really eaten anything on the day of the tests.
Will they repeat the tests?0 -

I had to stop eating from 10pm the night before for my GTT  I was bloody starving by the time I got to the hospital, but afterwards I didn't feel like anything to eat - must have been that drink!0 -
From reading online apparently low blood sugar is normal in the afternoon in early pregnancy. It's the fact the hospital phoned that worried me! Unsure if they'l repeat the tests, this time was an ordeal from not being able to find a vein, and now my whole inner arm is bruised  I hate needles too so was panicking the whole day before going to get it done, doubt that will have helpedThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Don't say that! I've convinced DH to have the morning off so he can look after the boys then take us all out for lunch! Mine is at my surgery which sounds better than hospital but then I've got to sit there for 2 hours while loads of sick people come in and out yuck!!

I know how you feel, I had to have blood taken this morning and they can never find a vein and always end up bruised and sore - still, I got a nice plaster for my troubles to show off for maximum sympathy
It may be worth just ringing them back and seeing if they're intending on repeating the test - that way you'll have peace of mind of knowing what will happen and you won't be worrying too much all evening.0 -

Our little local hospital is lovely (haven't been there since they took A&E away!) and I had a room with a toilet, a tv & 2 nurses all to myself yesterday so I sat back with a couple of magazines & a foot stool & bloody enjoyed it!
I'm going back on Monday for my consultants app - I wonder if they'll just lend me the room for a couple of hours to chill in?!0 -
