I will, I've got a feeling it'l just be a blob ha. I'm only 11 weeks, according to the doctor, but I know I'm more like 10. I know exactly when this bun was created :o

It's my OH's mums birthday tomorrow, we're planning on visiting on Saturday, it is a special birthday for her, so unsure whether to break the news or not.

I had my scan just over a month ago but didn't upload my pic. I will now.
It's a great pic as you can just about make out all 4 limbs! There's the obvious 2 but if you look closely, her second arm is up by her face and the dark spot at the bottom is the bottom of her other foot which means you can follow it back to see her second leg (bent at the knee). I love this pic so hope it uploads. 20weeks.jpg

But you count from the last day of your last period so add two weeks-ish on ;)

I know but my cycle isn't normal, it's longer so I know you add an extra week on, but the doctor said "oh they don't do that anymore" If I count from my last period it is 11 weeks but I thought having a 35 day cycle affected that. I'm confused :o

It also has the highest amount of births per year out of all the hospitals in N.I and has all the specialist care for poorly babies and problem pregnancies so I'm assuming that's why the C Section rate is so high.
Yes, I was told at my 20 week scan that if any potential problems were spotted, I'd be instantly referred to the Royal, because of the specialist baby unit. They must have a higher C-section rate.
Good luck with the scan tomorrow!!

i'm really starting to panic now tho as baba is due at the start of sept, my daughter starts full time school the same time and she has diabetes, so for the 1st few weeks i'm gonna be back an forth to the school supervising insulin injections, i'm worn out just thinking about it! god knows what'll happen if i have a section, eeeek!
Best thinking this out in advance Twinkle. With a bit of luck baby will arrive a week or two early. Have you any friends or family nearby to help with the school run (And to drive you to school for injections?) What about OH? When he is on paternity he can probably help. Definately phone the school and see what they suggest. I guess worst case scenario is that your daughter might miss a week off school, so don't panic!
My DD starts P1 in September and I'm due the start of October, so I'm getting my mum involved in collecting her from school in the first week, incase i go early. At least my OH will be taking 2 weeks off after the birth, so he can help me by doing the school run (in theory) :D

*delurks* Oooh you must be quite close to me anderson (hope they sort your itching out)! I gave birth at the old hospital which I don't think has had much done to it since I was born there!

One of the midwives when I was in labour was telling me how fab the delivery rooms are at the new hospital - big rooms, en-suite facilities and tv's/dvd players! Just what you want to hear when you have to shuffle out to the loo trailing your drip or use a bedpan and whilst listening to a barely working radio! :rotfl:

There are also 15 rooms rather than 9 which is handy as there seems to be a baby boom here just now.

Amy is 6 and a half weeks old now, I can't believe it, but am loving being a mum. :happylove

    *relurks*

oooh it sounds so nice! i was born in falkirk, and im keen for this one to be a bairn also!

midwife this morning got me an emergency gp appointment for today and i do have puppps, so i have some antihistamines to take.
also im 36+4 and im measuring 42:eek:
so i have a growth scan on the 19th.
  • Hello everyone,

I've been lurking over the last couple of weeks, and kept meaning to register and say hi but to be honest, pigpen's posts about how much work she's been doing around the house always left me feeling too tired and lazy to post!

I'm 28 weeks along tomorrow with first baby, and we're having a boy. He's due on the 30th September, and I'd be rather interested if anyone has any ideas on how to stop time going so fast! :o

I saw the midwife this morning for check up etc, and described the excruciating pelvic pain that I've been having for the last few days - she advised that it's SPD, and recommended that I get some Mama Spanx pants. Before I spend an obscene amount of money on these, could any other SPD sufferers advise if they're worth it, or if there's anything else that could help besides going to the physio for Tubigrip? :(

Nice to meet you all, and wishing you all the very best in your pregnancies and safe deliveries.
