though I have had 'some' luck with the instruction to 'keep my knees together'

I love when they give out this advice. I always think if we could all keep our knees together we wouldn't have SPD in the first place :rotfl:

Gillyx - I think it would be more likely your blood sugar would be high if you had gestational diabetes. That said, I have it and it's not as bad as it sounds, of all the complications you can develop in pregnancy I always say I'd rather have this than 99% of the others!

That's good news, thanks. She didn't sound too concerned on the phone so I'm assuming if it was something to worry about they'd want to see me.

    Hi everyone,

Not been on much as have just been too lazy and tired...

Womble hope things go well with your appointment tomorrow, fingers crossed for you both.

Since when did I creep up to 12th on the list???

Yesterday we got a bit over enthusiastic DTD and I ended up bleeding, it's the second time it's happened so at least this time we knew not to panic quite as crazily. It stopped before bed, and I have felt bubs move as normal, so we're just going to accept that we may have to do other stuff now to avoid more bleeding.
Due to this activity, my lower back was absolutely killing me before bed and I had to take paracetamol and a warm bath, has been better today.

From now on, I'll be taking it easier, if I manage 1 or 2 things per day i will take it as a success. On Monday it was my birthday and hubby gave me a Kindle which is great so the perfect excuse to read even more and just have snacks and the laptop in bed with me. That combined with good food to hand and some occasional swimming, will help get ready for the big day I think. For now I am in no rush as I want him to be 'fully done' before arriving... plus gives me a chance to read up more on all those things I don't know how to do!

Have also been listening to a hypnotherapy birthing cd, it's so relaxing I fall asleep almost every time, but the soothing voice assures me that that is ok, all the info is going in...

Sparkle it's called cervical erosion and it's completely normal :D Don't get guilt tripped into being a BJ machine, the bleeding won't harm bubs at all if it is only after DTD :)

And try different positions.. some put more pressure on the cervix than others.. you on top means you have more control over how far things go and where they are...

At 8 months pregnant it's amazing you still have the energy/inclination!!!

I feel a bit sorry for my OH, as he went from feast (trying to get pregnant) to famine in just a few weeks :rotfl:
