  • Afternoon ladies,

Apricot - thank you v much for adding me to the list.

jcr16 - I'm sorry that you feel lousy after that comment - you could have said that you were hopeful that the baby would take after your side of the family in terms of looks and sense of humour, so 'ugly' wouldn't be quite accurate...

Lirin - know how you feel as am pretty groggy today with throat, and tired from lack of sleep due to pesky SPD pains. Humph.
pigpen - I can only applaud your energy and determination :T
I tried to cheer myself up with a few bits from ASOS (there are a few nice maternity bits in their sale, including a cable knit sweater down to £5 which would be great if you're due in the Autumn?)

    Have a good afternoon everyone.

Well last nights curry has not resulted in a baby ... just a snoring, farting husband

    Am 41+2 today .....

Sorry to hear that SDH, fingers crossed things start moving for you soon.

I'm thinking off trying the curry idea & going for a walk.

  • Huge (hugs) JCR, what's wrong with your inlaws? Have they always been so awful?

I wouldn't bother with them anymore tbh if I was you as you don't need that kind of stress in your life.

I was up most of the night with braxton hicks although at the time I was convinced they were the real thing as they were so painful & I could hardly walk. :o

They seem to be getting them much stronger as the days go by which i'm hoping is a good sign.

I hope everyone else is as well as can be expected.

Huge labour vibes to everyone who needs them.

    Ooh, I love pancakes. :p

Thanks ClaireyBear- Actually feel bad moaning, as there's far worse than a simple cold being suffered on any page in here :).... Normally I'd just pick up, ignore it, and get on with things, but I guess I'm in a moaning mood. Don't know why I'm as grumpy this time around- I've had much worse, just feel knackered.

DH has promised we'll go to Homebase tonight then Asda- buy a BBQ to fit in the space the rotten shed used to occupy, and BBQ tonight regardless of weather! (While two dogs equally place themselves in prime position for any dropped bits, and look at me with beseeching eyes for my horrible, horrible cruelty in starving them as I have a feast.)

Delain- pancakes??? Now I have to choose! Stuff it- I'll have both.

Sparkle you're in the top ten now if you don't count the boldies

JCR big hugs, hope you feel better soon and def consider that he must be thinking of his looks, not yours and OH. Thing is, he won't be thinking about this at all and will have not even thought it an issue. If you do keep letting it stick in your brain it will only hurt you more, so try to think about something else and focus on that - it will be hard but will do wonders for your mood.

Think of how cute your babies toes will be!
Think of how many raspberries on their tummy you can give them!
Imagine them fast asleep and how peaceful they will be

This sort of thought always makes me smile and cheers me up if I am down.

    Kandboys congrats on viability!

SDH big labour vibes and to anyone else that needs them.

Claireloo as others have said I am sure 12 months is fine and then you can let them know if you want to do less?

REALLY fed up with needing the loo... literally a thimbleful at a time :o

Everyone should stop talking pancakes, I want to make some Sunday now... for now, all I can think of is making my own popcorn - yummy...

Have made lots of birthday cards in advance today for use throughout the next year, plus also some lasagnes to freeze. Still have macaroni cheese and chilli to do, plus portions of rice, maybe pizzas, soup etc all over the next 10 days or so.
