Anderson hope all is going well, and Karen many, many congrats!t

Flower08 so glad I made you smile, I guess it's easy to get overwhelmed at times but when bubs arrives everything will be put into context... including all that spare time we have at the mo to worry he he...

DogLover I can empathise with lack of sleep - neighbours had a party until 3am, we were so fed up laying in bed listening to it as if it was in our own bed room. Thing is they 're not young - they are both in their 40's and every other wknd they do this. Plus argue, shout, their kid then screams due to fighting and drinking. I can't bear the thought they will keep Sweetpea awake when he arrives.

Is peeing 4 times an hour normal at this stage? I wonder that otherwise a) I have a UTI or b) our DTD antics the other night have bruised my bladder badly...

Congrats Karen! Is it Floyd as per your post or Lloyd as per your sig??!

Just had a letter come from my GP saying following my recent blood tests there is a prescription for me to collect. The only blood tests I have had recently are the ones for obstetric cholestatis which came back fine. Plus I saw my GP on Tuesday and she didn't say anything. I'm wondering if they tested for anaemia or similar and those results have only just come back? I'm worried now but I guess if it was anything serious they would have called me

Congratulations Karen! Hope everything is going well for Anderson!

I'm sure this baby is learning how to jive or is actually an octopus - I swear I had a knee sticking out of my bump at one point today and at any given moment he seems to be jiggling at 8 places all at once! DH is a fidgeter, am thinking bubs has inherited his father's habits!

Didn't sleep a wink last night for worrying about my midwife booking me into the "local" (which in Cornwall means in the same county  midwife led unit for delivery. I'm particularly unhappy about this because I specifically asked to be booked into the hospital. Has anyone else got to go to one of these midwife units? I've heard they don't have any monitoring equipment or pain relief other than gas and air and I'm worried about the transfer time to the main hospital if I do need help - its a 45 minute drive away! My midwife is trying to sell it to me on the basis that I could have a water birth, that I haven't asked for and don't want!

Sorry for the rant, off to chill in the bath for a bit now!

Labour vibes to the boldies and anyone else who wants them :)

Winnie.. you can just turn up at the main hospital if you want.. it won't make any difference they are not allowed to turn you away if you are in labour. You can also just ring the hospital and say your midwife made a mistake and booked you at the MLU when you specifically asked for the hospital and they will change it..they would probably rather you did that than turned up unannounced!

Kandboys... you got the wrong name for Karens boy he is Floyd (like my mothers cat!! lol) not Lloyd!

    Ooh good luck Anderson :)

PP my DD1 and your DD3 sound quite similar :( DD1's room is meant to be getting done this weekend (she has been waiting almost a year bless her) so she will have to share with the twins whilst it's done, which will be a nightmare, but at least it will stop all the family going on at me because it isn't done!

Abby forgive me I thought you were 18 ish :o take it as a compliment x

JCR apparently you have to be at least 30 and a homeowner to have a family and not get whined at!

I have noticed that some of my clothes are not fitting now... but I look fat(ter) rather than PG lol. Anyway my nan hasn't noticed, she's going to go bonkers, she got cross enough when I had Squeak! :o

    Congrats on baby Floyd :D

Thanks Pigpen, I figured that would be the case but still wound myself up about it! I'll give the hospital a bell next week and get it sorted. I figure if Samantha Cameron can come here on holiday and get an "emergency" caesarian (which involved the whole maternity wing getting a coat of paint and a refit, oops how careless of them *rolls eyes*) then I should be allowed to go there too! Think this might be my soapbox issue for a while :rotfl:

Oooo nooooo I'm sorry to say you still get whined at even when you are 30 and own a home and have a decent income! Everyone has to have an opinion! I've just started telling them to s*d off and worry about their own f****d up lives :D

    yep agre with winnie there,

im 31 (oops such a lie 32 i had a birthday recently lol) own 2 propertys, both me and hubby hold full time jobs, plus i have 2 boys aged 11 and 9 (although not rich by any means)

everyone has an opinion on something, generally for me its people telling me i shouldnt have waited so long in between this bump ad the last two so i just reply with "oh im so sorry i didnt mean to have two miscarriages in between the children but i will try to be more careful in future", that usually shuts them up .

getting stressed out with my boys at the moment, they are good i must remember this, hubby is away working and they are doing extra chores, have had brilliant school reports this week as well, but they are always argueing or moaning that they are bored and its really getting to me

on the plus side i got them a kitten each on fri they were over the moon are taking their parental responsabilities very well. dont think hubby will be impressed when he comes home in a couple of weeks but oh well he shouldnt hve left me for that long lol

    mmm i need chocolate cheesecake
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j
