Twinkle hope you feel better - weird that it's at the same time every day but as others have said could be low blood sugar...

Carlone I know what you mean, I was a bit worried for a while and now see that they're pretty much guesstimating anyway so as long as we feel ok, baby size will only be apparent once they are actually here.

Claireloo I did the same last week with coffee - had a cup of instant at around 6pm and regretted it throughout the night. Caffeine is a morning thing only now, if at all!

hanks for the advice re: this going to pee constantly - in the end because I am literally going every 10 mins with very little coming out, the doctor on call said this was unusual and wants me on antibiotics, so we were able to get some yesterday. I was told to drink lots of liquids, which I am doing, also got plenty of cranberry juice. Still weeing around 3 times per hour but hoping that tomorrow it will ease once the antibiotics have had 24 hours in my system.
Normally I wouldn't agree to the antibiotics but I was too miserable!

What is potassium citrate as a common household item PP?

Don't drink too much it can cause fluid build up on the kidneys and make things ten times worse.. you should just drink normally.. I get terrible kidney problems so have experienced this a lot!

Did they send a urine sample to make sure it will actually be fixed by the AB's you have been given? I had ecoli infection and the AB's I was given were not effective and I ended up a right old mess..

Potassium citrate isn't a household item usually.. OTC cheap as anything and works really quickly if it is going to. def. eases badder irritation though.

    Hi ladies.

I've been a silly hormonal twerp today - cried at tv, made a carp dinner, over walked then spent the rest of the day and eve moaning about it. I've not done anything vaguely useful and feel like I've wasted the day.

Hey ho, rant over. Tomorrow starts a new week so hopefully it'll be a good one.

I know this will sound silly but all of a sudden I feel quite overwhelmed with the idea of labour and having a baby. Not in regretting way just in a what on earth am I doing way! See, told you today was a hormonal one
  • congratulations karen and good luck anderson hope everything is going well

twinkle i had something similar last week felt like room spins was really horrible my consultant said it was probably dehydration and over heating so iv been trying to drink lots of water and wear stuff that keeps me cool.

caroline dont worry about measurements i went to hospital consultant last mon 33+5 and measured 33cm went to MW on tue 33+6 and measured 34cm so measurements are only a guide if you were say 30 wks and measured 20cm then id be worried.

cant remember who was talking about age but it makes absolutley no difference to people who want to give you there opinion. i was 18/single/living with parents/not working when i had DS got lots of comments, this time im 36/been with OH 8yrs/living with my OH in a home we own/both of us are working still getting lots of comments you cant win lol. the best one was when my consultant asked why did you wait so long (18yrs) between pregnancies !! excuse me but i didnt think it was any of her business it definately had no baring on my care. some people are just nosey lol.

i really dont want to go to work tmrw but at least i only have 2 wks left im trying to syke myself up but its not working. is anyone else sick to the back teeth of there preg clothes i so want to wear ordinary clothes again much as i love my bump im sick of wearing the same stuff day in day out.

Caroline Don't stress about the measurements as the others have said they are really rough - two midwives could do it on the same day and get different measurements depending on where they measure from. FWIW my sister measured small throughout her pregnancy and had extra growth scans as they thought baby was going to be tiny. She was 6lb something when she was born at 36 weeks so completely normal sized despite everything!

    :grouphug: Doglover

Yay for only two weeks in work left moneysavingfamilycomp - I feel so much better since finishing work & Im totally with you on the clothes thing. Sick of looking at the same things all the time - although Im lucky as I was moaning about it a couple of weeks ago and two of my friends who have recently had babies passed on some stuff to me so I have a little more variety now!

Watched Marley & Me earlier - big mistake. Queue uncontrollable sobbing for about 20 minutes from me while OH laughed at me & took photos threatening to upload them to Facebook! I've seen it before so didn't think I would cry again - Im blaming the hormones!

Not even had so much as a twinge yet so can't see me going into labour anytime soon. I have really enjoyed being pregnant (have had it very easy compared to some) but am ready for baby now - feel like Im just hanging on waiting for something to happen! Knowing my luck I will go overdue which would be completely inconvenient as I have lots to do the first couple of weeks in August!

Tomorrow would be a good day to have a baby actually 11/7/11 is a cool d.o.b so feel free to send me labour vibes!

    Hi all,
Yes, thats right i'm still here without a baby! 41+5 today
Had quite a busy weekend in the end. BBQ at friends on saturday. H moved all my horsey stuff and I helped paint stable yesterday (whole yard was asked to ... i hadn't expected to make the 'painting party' to be hoest!).
Popped down the midwife drop-in clinic yesterday afternoon to see if they could do a sweep. She could pop a finger in my cervix but nothing more. Then she asked if the student could have a go? Yeah why not, might help :rotfl:

I love all things biology-wise and listening to the midwife guiding the student round my bits was actually really interesting. The baby is -2 which was explained that they can feel 2 spines in the pelvis that are below the baby's head. Well i thought it was fascinating!
Then came home, watched grand prix and following that had a nice snooze on the sofa. Also slept all night and still feel tired now!

Off to a NCT coffee afternoon. (Not that i have joined NCT, just being dragged along with a friend!)
Off to a consultant appointment at hospital tomorrow to discuss baby-no-show, have some monitoring & refuse to be induced!
I am planning a homebirth and the midwife i saw yesterday (my midwife's surpervisor) said she is happy to continue supporting my homebirth plan. But DH thinks i should pack a proper labour bag. I do have an "just in case of transfer" bag packed but not sure what extras i should put in a proper labour bag.....

    Morning all.

Meant to get a lot done this weekend- eventually settled for watching qualifying on Saturday, and the Grand Prix on Sunday.... Luckily, DH is as huge a car nut as I am, so was understanding. DSD knows we gutted her room, but honestly didn't seem to pick up that we've cleared 8-9 binbags of toys from her room (local charity shop loves us now though.) How nice to be so young and naive again- we told her we'd rearranged everything so it's tidier...... :)

Spent all weekend feeling really sorry for myself- I'm alright as long as I don't talk. Once I do, I sound croaky and keep making people laugh, my breath keeps catching with a lovely dry, tickly cough, and my throat feels like I've cheerfully poured paintstripper down it...

Twinkle, give your midwife a ring, they should be able to help you.

SDH, homebirth sounds nice and relaxing!
