I refused to go.. said it was a waste of time.. they'd tell me not to eat all the things I will eat and to eat all the things I can't or won't eat.
They write the BMI on the notes here.. the fact the MW added 2Kg tomy weigth anyway didn't help.. anyway.. so far I have added 12lb to my lard.. I was shocked I thought it was more.. the baby will be about 1.5lb of that.. the rest is lard (and water and blood.. but mainly lard!)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

My SW consultant told me the biggest weight loss in one week after childbirth was 18lbs - I'm going to attempt to beat that0 -
I have 3 growth scans booked - 26 weeks, 32 and 36 weeks. The 26 week one should have been 28 weeks but they are all on holiday for 2 weeks (!!!!!!??!!) so had to be either 30 or 26 so went with the 26. I'm having a c-section anyway so don't know why they need to know if baby is big or not but I get to see him again so don't mind reallyThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

It's not that I mind (other than the fact that hubby won't be able to make these ones and it's the only part he's been involved in - other than conception) - just wondered why it was such an issue if I was healthy - if I'm overweight (ok, obese
) does that mean I'll have a smaller baby (or bigger  ) than anyone else? Two neighbouring counties don't half do things so differently!

I don't find your weight has anything to do with the baby's size TBH.. I had my biggest baby at my skinniest and my smallest at my most depressed..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi everyone, hope you are all well despite the usual aches & pains.
Congratulations to all the new mummy's on their beautiful arrivals.
Sorry i've not been around much & thanks to everyone who missed me.
I've been having really strong braxton hicks for the last few days & my bump looks really low which is hopefully a good sign that something will be happening soon.
I'm starting to worry about the birth now even though i've already done it 3 times as it's been nearly 13 years since the last time.
I've got an appointment at the antental assessment unit tomorrow so hopefully will find out how much longer they will be keeping him in for.
It's getting to the stage where it's so uncomfortable to do anything now & I can't wait for him to come out.
Take care everyone & labour vibes to everyone that wants/needs them. :AI'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

BCS.. Glad you are well
I have complained about the general referral system.. complete waste of time as they either won't reply (which I did say I wasn't expecting them to, but it would be helpful for a medical negligence case when it becomes necessary) or they will fob me off with excuses.. which I also said I am not interested in.. 11 referrals to 4 different departments over 2 years for 2 different people which have not resulted in a single appointment is pretty abhorrent! It won't make a jot of difference and complaining didn't even make me feel better.. in fact I feel worse...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I think half the time they like to cover themselves. So if you are overweight or obese (me!) you are likely to have gestational diabetes and have a big baby - allegedly!! NOT! With DS1 I had lots of extra scans and they said he's going to be a big one. Well he was only 7lb 13oz at 2 weeks over and skinny as a rake. DS2 was a different story, 9lb 12oz 2 weeks over and a chubby thing!
I don't do drugs, don't smoke or drink but I like my food so what?!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
