  • wonder womble big hugs and try not to panick. we were 1 in 57 chance with this bump and after lots of disscussions and tears decided to go for CVS as we didnt need to wait as long for that as amnio thankfully everything came back fine in our case although we had decided to keep baby anyway but its not an easy decision and its very personal to you and your OH. have long discussions with OH about what the future would hold and do some research. good luck i hope everything goes well for you if you want to know anything about what we went through just ask.

Agreed here try not to panic yourself or get worked up. I hope you get some more positive answers on Friday.

Another one here who is having extra scans, I'm having mine for various reasons. Consultant told me its because my BMI is low (its 0.5 under the ideal weight), I have a history of depression (not sure what this has to do with anything?) and have been continuously having low blood pressure throughout pregnancy.
Not bothered though, as means we get to see baby two more time :D

Think baby is having a party tonight, he hasnt stopped moving - starting to make me feel a bit sick!

Try not to worry wonderwomble hope everything goes well on Friday!

moneysavingfamilycomp I packed my bag at about 32 weeks - because my nan went on and on at me until I did it. I think 35 weeks is about right though, if baby is born at those dates there is a high chance that they will be able to come straight home with you so I'd rather have it done tbh!

Had mw appointment today baby is still 2/5 engaged - my belly was really tender when she was feeling around though. Next appointment at 39 weeks  hoping baby will be here by then anyway!

Bags.. I pack at about 32 weeks... but I have a history of prem births.. 31-35 weeks.

Womble... that means you still have a much greater chance of baby being ok.. :D. Fingers crossed you are not 'the one'. I know it is a worry, hope you get some positive news soon.

I have got most of the back room cleared.. need to finish it in the morning.. and half of the middle room is vacuumed (it has to be done on hands and knees and swept with a scrubbing brush as you go.. and I got stuck on the floor and noone came to rescue me and when OH did come in he didn't help either..

And now he is after a tesco run tomorrow.. yeah great thanks.. that'll be a great fluffing useless waste of time! .. How many times do I have to say I can't walk that far before someone somewhere actually listens! ?

Has anyone read reviews on the hospital they'l be going to? Just read mines and I think I'm abit pale about the face now.

Highest C Section rate in the whole of the UK.. and the reviews I read were horrifying. Trying to convince myself that only people with bad experiences complain.

The hospital I am going to has got some bad reviews, but equally I know quite a few people who have had their babies there no problem. Like you say it is often people who have something to complain about that write reviews - I think its the same with anything.
I wouldnt worry too much about what you have read.

I'm in a new area so don't know of anyone that has had babies here. I'll see how it is when I go for my first scan :o

Where are you? A lot of people have written reviews slating my hospital (Poole) and I've had all mine there and the staff are great. It has a horrendous 'interventions' rate, and a red rating, whereas the mw led unit (bournemouth) gets a green rating and I know full well that if you get into difficulty at Bournemouth they pack you off to Poole in an ambulance!
