Re washing powder
I use simply 'pure' tabs (not sensitive ones as they have a fragrance), its the only wasing powder I can use without having a problem with my skin it also has no fragrance. I would panic if they ever stopped making it and I buy it in bulk online, last order I bought 24 tubs !!!!!!!!! that should keep us going a while!!!!!!!!!
Sympathies to those who are having it a bit rough at the mo

BLimmy..... not done that for while. Made my last post here at about 6.50, and was waiting for DH to get off the phone so we could have dinner. Roll on 7.30 DH still on phone, and i was so tired i couldnt speak. So i went to bed without any dinner! Zonked out, and woke up at 8.30am (barring a 1am, 4am and 6 am wee).
Problem is, now i have swollen fingers from lying still so long, and a brain that feel like cotton wool.
I'm going to have to tell my boss that i just cant do days like Tuesday again, as it totally destroyed me with aches and tiredness-left the house at 6.15am, started at 7.30am and meetings back to back sat in one spot with exception of 11.20am-midday when i was on a bus between meetings in different buildings! Finished at 5.25pm, and then spent 2 hours in traffic getting home. Lordy!
On a different note, landmark day, today is "V- day" 24 weeks, so i am officially on this thread properly now!
Pain free happy day vibes to all, and labour vibes for those in need!

Morning all!
Feeling a tad brighter today - still hurting a lot but I think my pain tolerance levels have risen again. Off to the midwife at 11am and planning to have a good moan about this heartburn because Gaviscon isn't working anymore and even milk is causing it so I'm putting off eating and drinking!
Having said that, I actually slept much better for not waking up and swig the pink drink every half hour so maybe not eating or drinking is the answer...hayleythedaisy wrote: »Also, how far do people live from the hospital in minutes by car or foot or bus?
I live about a 15 - 20 minute drive from the hospital, although my record for getting there (legally) was 8 minutes. The same journey takes 2 and a half hours on a bus. The bus that comes once a day. But not on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Sundays. Oh I love living in a rural area! Hosptial parking here is £15.10 for 24 hours...its why we're broke from my stay the other week!
Hope everyone's ok, labour vibes to those who want them (including me!) and hope we get some baby news soon0 -
i live an hours bus ride, or 10 mins in the car from hospital, here they give you the 1st 40 mins for free, then it's £1.80 for how ever long you stay, you can get a special ticket tho if youre back and forth daily.
starting to feel very uncomfortable now, i didnt think it was even possible,i cant do proper big yawns, i cant cross my legs when sitting down as it's just too painfull and i need help putting on my shoes, lol. my bump is HUGE and gets in the way of everything!
i'm stressing now that the bits i bought in "up to 1 month" (10lbs) wont fit.....i only bought 9 babygrows and 9 vests, one cardy and a coat but even so, they're all i have, and they've all been washed so i cant take them back either to change to 0-3 months:(
a friend on FB has just announced 2 of her friends have gone into labour, theyre not due yet, i am soooooo jealous.IT'S MY BLOODY TURN!!!!!Skint, but happy (ish):p0 -

Hello ladies, how are you all? I did ready back but there was so much I think you will have all moved on if I chatter about that. Loving the food talk
Not loving the restless nights or tearfulness talk
It's been a bumpy week so far, but has gone quickly. My mum still isn't talking to me which is making me sad/frustrated/angry. Our little tiff on Sunday seems to have escalated into something much bigger for her than I feel it needs to be. I'd be quite happy to just move on but she doesn't seem to want to. So I'll be moving on over to my dad's later today. I hate to leave here on bad terms but things aren't going to improve and have only gotten worse as the week's gone on.
On a chirpier note - we've applied for a BEAUTIFUL flat. It is slightly above our price range but we remembered some money from Aus that is still to come to us, so we're going to use that and put what we would've spent in rent into savings instead, so it will feel like we're living rent-free AND putting loads of money away!
And on another chirpier note - we went to hypnobirthing last night for the first time. The woman seems lovely and OH is well up for it. I think it's going to be quite a committment but I think it's a good thing and if anything will just make me feel more confident about what I need to do, and I'm really intrigued to see if it actually will work!0 -
We are almost 30 miles from the hospital and it takes about 40 minutes to get there...one of the big drawbacks to living rurally...not looking forward to making that journey when I'm in labour!Mammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20

I can get on a bus from my house to the mw led unit... they are every hour all day. To get to the big hospital (where they want me to go) takes 2 buses and close to 1.5 hours journey  That said OH should be around cos he's booked some holiday around the due date... but if he's got to take the children to someone to be looked after then I might as well get the bus and he can take the bag in the boot and meet me at the hospital, since my mum lives right out of the way and my nans not too far from big hospital, and he's got a silly tiny car :rotfl:
Can you tell I'm relying on needing to be induced again and having a date I can plan for:o

Hospital is about a mile and a half away, can get there in about 5 minutes in the car. I'm tempted to just get a taxi, no need to pay for parking, taxi is about a fiver, if that. Obviously if OH has to come back and forward though we'l have to park.
Washing powder, whatever is on offer, I like liquid and tablets, OH likes powder.
I feel off balance today, like leaning to the one side, in my head. That does not make senseThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
!!!!!! how much more carp can be thrown my way during this pregnancy!!!!!!! DS2 woke up this morning with a rash on his face and arms. So got him into the docs and it's slapped cheek syndrome which could potentially be harmful to the baby!! So the doc wanted me to get an urgent blood test to see if I'm immune and despite 2 nurses having free appointments they wouldn't see me! The receptionist was furious with them. So got to go back at 12 to have yet more blood tests this week. I'm so fed up. I'm still anaemic too which isn't helping. DS2 sobbed all the way home cos he couldn't go to nursery bless him and that made me cry and I couldn't stop!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0
