Delain - worryingly she sounded deadly serious! And I know if push comes to shove (no pun intended) lots of people are induced and it's fine, I know a couple of people who have either had really stupidly quick labours (my mum with me 32 minutes!) or really long ones (as in 3-4 days) and if I can avoid it I would like to, although after today I think if nothing has happened by monday I'll give in. Consultant said before if I'm happy to keep trying then he is too but that was before nipper got so porky!Bump due 22nd September0

:eek:I wish ours was 90p per hour!! Ours is £2.00 per hour. However you can get a 24 hour ticket for £5 which I didnt think was too bad considering how much the hourly rate is.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Do other hospitals not give you a pass for free parking for labour?
Ours is £2.50 per visit for outpatients, but if you're not an outpatient (visitor I guess) it's £2.50 for 2 hours, and £4 for 4, £7 for 24. But there is no way of them telling if you are an outpatient or not!Bump due 22nd September0 -
Wow Hayley! Hopefully they are wrong about the size! DS2 was 9lb 12oz but he was 12 days late. Think this one is getting on for that! I was told he was big and they tried to make me have a c-section which i refused. But ended up with an emergency one anyway. Is it your first? xThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Ours lets you park outside the labour ward for 15 minutes for free, basically enough time for OH to come up to ward with you, then run back down and park in the car park.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Kandy - I'm hoping they are wrong too but OH was 9lb12 and I was about 8lb and 3 weeks early so we'll see! I'm only 5ft so you can imagine how stupid I look - hence no bump pics! She measured each measurement 6 times today to check! Yep it's my first. I think I was so hopeful I would be able to do it naturally that I may have been a bit niave. Am now wondering if it's selfish to the baby as it's probably not going to be easy for either of us now it's so big!
Flower - we get a pass for 24 hours when you're in labour, and more passes if your labour lasts longer than that. (Should I be worried, they already gave me 2!)Bump due 22nd September0 -

Ice cream isn't that bad Sammy!
I've ate like a pig today. OH went to bed at 8 o clock  so I'm sitting here stuffing my face with giant buttons and watching that Bin Laden thing on Ch 4.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I can't believe how expensive the parking is at some of your hospitals! Here it is £2 per day amd your ticket expires at midnight. The post-natal ward has visiting times 3 times a day so you can buy one ticket and use it at all 3 sessions. Not sure what happens when you're in labour though...don't really fancy OH "nipping out" at midnight to pay for more parking if I'm 10cm dilated lolMammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20
