Thanks - (and thanks Lirin)thought that would be the case i dont suppose you have any where that i can refer to so that i can share it with the potential employer just in case.

Have had the bath and feeling great now - back has eased off and am much more awake than i was before - it was definately nothing lol

WOW Lirin, you've got proper baby bump going on there, wish i looked like that, mine just looks fat! well considering i am fat thats probably why lol

it looks big, but i dont have anything or anyone to compare it to so ive no idea, but if i didnt know you were 27 weeks, id guess you were a good 10 weeks further along than you actually are. not sure if thats a good or bad thing :rotfl:

Great pic Lirin! You don't look big to me, tho I have had a big bump. I haven't got any pics, got OH to take a few then asked him to delete them! Didn't like the 'fat' look of my face etc.


Congrats the tope! Tho the thought of 2 hours pushing will give me bad dreams tonight!!!

Kandboys it sounds like you do have a medical reason for having a csection : your last labour. Plus if you are really stressed, is that not an additional reason? Big hugs. Try not to get too wound up about it.

My belly button is getting really sore. Baby has been putting pressure on it for days. Don't think I will pop as it's an 'inny' and it didn't last time. But its really tender.

WOW! I too would have put you 10 weeks further on.

Im 24 weeks and have a defined bump but its not huge, hope it looks like yours in 3 weeks time!

I had cheeseburgers on Wednesday and they were lush, I would have had them for my tea again last night but know that OH would have disapproved

You can't as it affects your MA. My friend even got into bother for doing her Uni placement whilst on ML from work despite the fact it is not paid! I did find this, but don't know whether it applies to you:

Working for another employer

If you work for another employer (employer before the birth you can still get SMP from the employer (employer A) who is paying your SMP. If you work after the birth for employer B and you were not working for employer B in the 15 th week before your baby was due, your SMP from employer A will stop on the Saturday before you start work. However, if you worked for employer B in the 15 th week before your baby was due, you may work for employer B without affecting your SMP from employer A.
You can do self employed or voluntary work without any loss of SMP. During unpaid maternity leave, you can work for another employer unless there is a clause in your contract limiting any other work.







Lirin, you look about the same size as me, although I think I'm a bit wider. Personal question but is your bra underwired? If not I'm very jealous!

im so excited. i have 20 days of actual work to get through before i go on maternity leave on the 5th october :jplus ive got 3 days holiday booked in which is why its 20 days and not 23

means i am going mega early though but im struggling at the moment with everything and my house is desending back into tip status and i just feel very blah so the early i go so i can get things the way i want them and get organised the better im feeling.

do any of you ladies have gestational diabetes? ive been told i have it even though im right on the boderline for it and not really sure how to ajust my eating habits as im so fussy to compensate for it. at the moment in still having to force myself to eat food let alone regular meals and i know regular meals are something i should be doing. could you give me a sample of your typical menu if you do have it so i can see where i can improve on as my menu yesterday was like this

Breakfast - bowl of coco pops (now binned them and my wheetos )
snack - 2 hash browns
lunch - cheese sarnie, dairylea dunker, bag of crisps, can of coke - no more coke as i saw how that lunch messed with my blood a few hours later
dinner - 1/3lb lean steak mince with taco spice, 3 taco shells and a handful of cheese
then snack later on a handful of mini twirl bites
