Hello, I don't seem to get a lot of time to post anymore (used to be on every day posting when pregnant last time around!). My mom has been in hospital for an emergency op, so am feeling quite tired and drained at spending so much time there, looking after my toddler and being pregnant.
I have reached 'v' day-24 weeks, baby's heartbeat sounded great at my review with the midwife and although people keep saying i am so small-the consultant said my baby feels a good size
I am actually fed up of people saying-oh you look so tiny still! is this your first? then being shocked when i tell them my due date and that this is my 2nd. I should maybe be flattered, but do i just look fat/got a spare tyre?! So it seems i have the opposite problem to most ladies!

Keelykat - ignore them all - i honestly think people think they can say what they like to us preggers bunch and they don't think it effects us - don't they realise we are emotional rollercoasters and bump size is our concern and not theirs to judge!!!!!Sealed Pot challenge" member #1342 Online Saver £60.00

Well said Elmo!
Hope Pigpen is ok...sure she's usually around by now...
Quick question - what are you girls drinking? Even water is giving me heartburn at the moment and I'm soooooo thirsty! I've been drinking lots of milk, but that habit is threatening to bankrupt us and milk isn't really refreshing enough! Any suggestions?0 -
Hi everyone! I'm still here!
congrats to thetope even though you've queue jumped! was this your first?
also little growls at PP's show but then you're much more practiced at this then us others... hope you manage to organise something for Squeak - must be really difficult when you don't know when Dot will come.
Congrats on due date ecoelle! Have you have any twinges yet?
Kandboys - hope you get some better news about c-section - I can't imagine how anxious it must be making you. It seems really ridiculous to have such a policy.
Congrats Keelykat on V day!
I've had nothing! Eviction strategies have to begin in earnest now as I've got a midwife appointment on tuesday at 41 weeks when she'll offer a sweep. Not very keen on that even though something might stir. Have had curries, pineapple and raspberry leaf tea galore - to the extent that we had smoked salmon sushi last night just for a change. Have also tried everyone's top tip last night which was great as we haven't for ages but still nothing - not even a show or BHs... Have felt my whole belly go hard fairly often but nothing concrete.
Could be ages yet then... my friend went to 9 days before her waters broke and evne then that didn't set things off... poor thing she ended up in high risk due to antibiotic drip and being rhesus neg as well. Still she's got a gorgeous healthy little girl to cuddle now.
Mum and dad are being really sweet about coming down - I think they've sensed that OH would rather it just be us for now so are going to wait until I'm off to hospital rather than coming for the weekend now. Mum's really funny as our family friend is also going to be a grandma this week ... her daughter (my primary school friend) was due on 1st and they're ringing each other for updates every day. Nice to know she's got someone to talk to.
Anyway had better get on - hope Lozzy and Kellpea are doing well. Got to go and meet a new friend from antenatal class for a cuppa now - hoping these walks help.
Lots of loveteam yellow
Can't wait to meet you now baby!0 -

Hey everyone, baby has finally been named:j (by her daddy as I could not make a decision to save my life lol). She is called Phoebe Abigail and it really suits her. I never thought it would be so hard to come up with a name though, we decided she didn't look like either of the 2 names we had picked beforehand so had to start from scratch after she was born.
We are both doing fine here. My scar is healing well and I'm feeling a lot like my old self again. I was so stressed out about my scar after the C/S, and kept obsessing about it opening up but I'm a little more relaxed about it now the staples are out. I wasn't prepared for a section at all, how naive is that! I wish now I had read up more about them just so I could know what to expect. Baby is being formula fed as I had inverted nipples and her latch was poor so by the end of day 2 I just decided to make the switch to formula. I was exhausted and it was a purely selfish decision but I don't feel half the guilt I expected to feel about it. I think you just have to make the best decision for you both at the time and hope for the best.
Lirin, I think you're going to the same hospital as me (Ant?) and if so I have nothing but good things to say about them. I was in for 4 nights and had fantastic care and attention and the place was spotless. I wouldn't hestitate to chose there again. I'd also love to meet up in a few weeks when I'm more settled with her, and the same goes for any of our other NI ladies on here too:D
Labour vibes to all the boldies, and I wish you all the best of luck with your pregnancies. I'm still lurking on here when I get the chance though so I'll be keeping an eye on how you're all getting on.

Yup Claire, I'm in Antrim.... Nice to hear good things about them, as I've only been in the main hospital twice, and never the maternity ward! Would certainly love to meet up- when you feel rested, definitely give a shout!
Phoebe Abigail- that's a lovely name.....0 -
Claire - Pheobe Abigail - aww sooo cute! I cant think of anything to name my lil girl once she makes an appearance - im sure she'll just be 'Baby' or 'munchkin' for the first few weeks hehe!
Winnie - I've been drinking the H20 by the bucket load topped up with various robinsons dilute juices, also had j20 when ive been out and about, and bought some still pink lemonade from mr T's the other week which was delicious! mmmm must buy some more of that!
I'm off to Durham tonight to see Jason Byrne with OH, hope its fun and not too uncomfortable - and hope i dont laugh so much i pee myself haha xxSealed Pot challenge" member #1342 Online Saver £60.00
