I have mine in sleepsuits all the time .. and in winter they have socks underneath too.. and a cardy on top. I think we have maybe 3 outfits in case we go out.. but given I have no intention of going out until spring I doubt they will get much use lol

We have 15 sleepsuit tiny baby, newborn and 0-3.. not sure what we have beyond that.. we have about 20 bodysuits too in each size and maybe 8-10 cardies/jumpers. Breastfeeding mean lots of hideous poopy explosions and Squeak would go through at least 3 a day so we never had enough!

how many baby clothes and what type of clothes are people buying.

    ive got about 10 babygrows/sleep suits in 0 - 3 month size
    1 x 2.5 tog sleeping bag in 0 - 6 month size
    7 x long sleeved vests again in 0 - 3 month size
and OH's gran is knitting is some cardigans for baby as well.

do i need more or can i just get more babygrows and have baby in them all the time?

I've got mostly babygros and a few outfits which oh's mum has sent up (lives in liverpool) think ive got about 10 babygros in 0-3 and 2 newborn which my nan bought me just incase baby is tiny and also got about 20 vests as i forgot i bought some and ended up buying more when they were in the asda baby event:rotfl:

i think best of waiting to see how big baby is no point buying lots of first size things when they are only in them 2 mins before moving to next size x

saying that i had to have my friend drag me out of pumpkin patch the other day their new a/w range is beautiful!!!!

  • thats true delain about the outfits and being seen, i have been naughty and bought a nice pack of baby grows from next, but the rest have come from sainsburys. so say 15 babygrows and 15 vests, some socks and a few cardigans will be enough then? i suppose they wont take long to dry if i run low and can whack them on the radiators for a bit if needed.

am i going to need a snow suit or anything like that??? not that we are planning on going anywhere at that time of year and i WILL be hibernating as well pigpen, if OH wants to take the baby out then by all means he can, but im staying put till mid Jan when we are getting it christened.

Id get a snowsuit.. it will be needed for hideous things like.. going to buy food... *shudders at the thought of a supermarket*

Squeak had one last winter for school runs in the pushchair.. shopping trips and the occasional stuff baby in the sling and trot to the bank/post office... sensibly, I got a white one :D

I'm planning 10-ish babygrows, 5 short sleeved vests and 5 longer sleeved vests, 2 snowsuits, and 3 or 4 cardigan/jumper/cosy things. Then obviously things like hats, mitts, socks etc.

I know I will get a MOUNTAIN of stuff when baby is born, so no point in me indulging, because I know I'll end up with far too much.

  • Pigpen dont mention nasties like food shopping, im sticking my fingers in my ears as shopping just before christmas with a new born and me braving the supermarket = murder being done or me just before chistmas with baby being late having to brave the supermarket = murder being done :rotfl:

has that been used successfully as a defence. Not guilty as i was pregnant and the stoopid bleep wouldnt give me the last whatever or the stoopid bleep wouldnt get out my way fast enough, or just they annoyed me by breathing. it should be a valid defense :D

so snow suit to be added to the list, and like i said if OH wants to go out by all means he can but im staying put :p i think id better email him and warn him that i might be a bit more hormonal and unreasonable by the time he gets home.

  • i think online shoppings going to be the way to go, although im trying to stock up so that its just the fresh stuff that needs to be bought and can use the butcher and the co-op for that.

I haven't even thought about clothing- between my mother, my MIL, and my granny, there's already enough there to do little one until maybe 4 years old!

I cant sit still... my hips/back actually feel better if I keep moving.. it hurts of course but it is sooo much worse after sitting for a few minutes...

I have REALLY had enough now and want this baby out yesterday... I want to be able to take Squeak to the park and go to shop and just sit on a chair..

I want to tidy my hovel!... words I NEVER EVER thought I would hear myself say/see myself write
