OH is in the dog house again.. he refused to take his stint lugging HIS fat baby around and being punched in the bladder for the next few weeks.. Ive done most of it and I did the last one.. selfish pig that he is...

The drugs arent working, my back and hips are getting worse.. I put off washing my hair yesterday as my back was so bad.. and I simply cannot leave it again it is vile and today my back is even worse.. nothing to do with making up a SK size bed on my own, 6 loads of washing, 2 DW loads, cooking dinner, dealing with Squeak and sorting out a couple of chests of drawers of course.. why would it be?

We'll let you off. Two of my friends that were due same time as me got induced early for GD. Obviously am mightly jealous they're having baby cuddles and I'm still waiting but I didn't fancy the GD

Kandy - I know someone how was induced nearly a year ago and they gave her a choice of two dates - one for an Aug baby and one for Sept because of the school year, not sure if this is common practice but if it is Id imagine its similar to sections. I would certainly ask if its not offered, to me allowing yourself a week of R and R before the kids are home seems sensible.

Womble, I really really would recommend an Osteopath, where i go she's half the price of a pregnancy massage and works miracles.

Am hobbling around on my crutches, seems to be helping, although i do have sore wrists now- can't win with me!!

Started making Christmas pressies today too.

Thanks all especially PP. I see them on the 1st for a growth scan to see how big bubs is getting then again on the 29th September for a date. I don't mind it being a day or so before they break up for half term, I just don't want it during half term so that I have to organise child care. I don't like being a burden on my mum or sister. My best friend had an elective 18 months ago and they only gave her one date. But I'm having a big un again so they might take that into consideration when I demand they get him out asap! DS2 was 9lb 12oz at 12 days late :eek:

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking on here for a while now and thought it was about time I said hello. I'm due on 14th November so could I be added to the list please? However, I have just been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes so will probably have the baby earlier like Bunnyhop.

Bunnyhop, how have you coped with the GD? Did you manage to keep it under control with diet or did you need medication? I just want to get an insight really so if anyone else has any input I would be very grateful!

How many weeks are you now? good luck at least you know it will all be over soon and you will have your lovely baby

is it just me or does no one else keep money in the house? it's chucking down here, i need to be at the MW in an hour, i'm gonna ring for a taxi (even though the sure start center is only a 10 min walk away)
i have money in the bank, but i never have any to hand, i use my bank card to pay for more or less everything. My mother calls me The Queen, cos i never have any cash on me good job sister lives in the next street, she's sending her fella round with some pennies for me til i can drag my bum to the cash machine. i am gonna take some extra out and put it in the drawer for a taxi when it's time to go into hospital. my hospital is in the next town and ive no other option but to get one, it does worry me though if a driver picks me up, realizes i'm in labour and says no, i dont want your waters going in my car, prob wont happen but i think about it none the less
oh well, best get dressed and see what's going on with this little madam.

My friend was offered one date which was her sons birthday.. so she was offered another which was her own birthday so she was offered a third date which she took.. so if one is realy inconvenient they can be flexible.

A woman at school was told she was having an average size baby... he turned up a week late at 13lb 11... 9lb12 isnt big! a friend of my sisters has 4 her last 2 were 12lb6 a week EARLY! and 11lb 13 a few days over..
