Massive labour vibes Claireloo :rotfl:Winnie_in_Pooh wrote: »The plasterer has finally turned up
thank god, DH has been getting steadily grumpier each day he's not been here!
Downside though is that I HATE having people in my house. I've known this guy for about 10 years but I'm still seriously uncomfortable and I really just want to hide. Hopefully he'll be quick and gone by lunchtime so I can lock the doorssuch a wimp
Oh I hate workmen in the house as you can't relax and just sit down when you're tired, and you can't have a nap either. We had the plasterer in for 3 days the week before last and I was dead on my feet. I felt like I couldn't sit down and slob out as he kept trundling through the house from his van to the bedroom and back.
Then we had FIL up last week to help put new wardrobes together so I was on my feet all day making cuppas and lunch and generally just not able to chill out. I was shattered and really wanted to sleep.
We also had new windows fitted last week and they wanted cuppas every 5 minutes. Then I had someone out for a quote to fix the back door and I couldn't get shot of him, bliddy gobsh!te yapping on about the doors in his new house  I'M NOT INTERESTED!!!
FIL is back up tomorrow to help finish the wardrobes, and he wants to come back up next week to paint our bedroom. I've put my foot down at that. As nice as it is of him to offer I'm sick of the chaos. Every room except the kitchen is in upheaval and I'm not having all the bedroom stuff moved back into the nursery. It won't be getting painted before baby arrives, so therefore won't be painted until at least next Summer when baby moves into the nursery. I can live with bare plaster walls until then.0 -
lol- all we're doing is the study/new nursery. That one room has been gutted totally, and all the assorted bits have got to go somewhere.... Our house resembles a Krypton Factor course at the moment. There's little paths through all the books, bookcases, carpets- and it looks worse becasue the house really isn't that big. Soon carpet should be down though, and I can start moving bookcases again!0

We've had to turn a two bedroom house into a three bed. That bit was easy and finished months ago! Then DH decided to fall through the ceiling into what will be our bedroom which is why we've got the plasterers in today. I could live with bare plaster walls, but we're moving into what was DS's bedroom which has an underwater, marine theme. I hate fish, especially fluorescent green ones that are stuck to walls :rotfl:0

Big labour vibes Claireloo
Winnie we looked at what must have been a huge 2 bed that had been made into a 3, certainly had an interesing layout lol.
Not sure I'd like flourescent fish either!
I managed to tie Squeak's hair up this morning, and she didn't mind at allShe looks totally different though, much older
My brother said a few months ago she looked like Heather Trott from eastenders... I could have lamped him! Apparently she doesn't anymore lol.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Labour vibes for Claireloo!
For back pain, I don't know if it's your thing or affordable for you but I see a chiropractor and it makes such a difference.
Found out I am being induced in 13 days due to gestational diabetes, does that mean you'll all hate me for queue jumping or is it ok when it's on medical grounds?
I just keep wandering around in a daze wondering if it's too late to change my mind about being a Mummy (gut feeling is it probably is?) :rotfl:0 -

Anyone have any experience in elective caesarians? We don't get the date until the 29th September but I'm wondering if they take your preference over dates in mind or do you just get a date and that's it? I really want baby at least a week early as I'm due half term week and it would be so much easier to have baby before half term when the boys are still at school/nursery. My mum and sister would help out with child care should it be half term week but they both need to book the time off soon as days are being taken by colleagues.
Yes they do.. if you explain childcare is an issue on such a date or you need to fit around school they are fairly flexible as they book it in advance.. you are after all doing them a favour making it all simple for them..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
