Tomorrow we are off down to Cornwall for the weekend to go to the Eden Sessions at the Eden Project, fingers crossed the weather holds as it wont be much fun listening to the bands and dancing around in the rain

I live just down the road from Eden - the weather is due to be dry and improving throughout the weekend :) which sessions are you seeing? We have tickets for Pendulum on Saturday night and I can't wait!

    Hey Everyone!

Just to confirm I contacted my MW who took some details over the phone and told me to rest and take paracetomal...easier said then done with a full time job and two kids but hey...:)

I don't know how many of you are interested but I ordered a pine Cotbed from with next day delivery all for £50...Bargain! (altho it did say 5-7 working day delivery time)

    babycarecentres.co.uk/bab...d-id16424.html

I'm not sure what the availability is like as the store is closing down, but I just couldn't resist it at that price! Anything to cut the cost :)

Unfortunately it will not let me post the link due to being a new user :(

    Hi all!

I know about the not sleeping well bit, pretty much every night is like it for me now. Just your body getting ready for baby and the lack of sleep apparently lol.

The place I was planning to go to give birth was pretty local - 10 mins drive. Since that place is closing I dont know what I should do if I go into labour as the hospital is around 40-50 mins drive away depending on traffic/time of day and it could be longer as its a busy town. So how far would I let contractions get before leaving to get there? I dont think husband would like the idea of me giving birth in his nice shiny car :D

Its all a worry isnt it! Stress stress stress, but dont stress because of the baby! :rotfl:

Hoping to go to sainsburys this weekend as saw they have a baby event and lansinoh is down to £5.07 which is probably as cheap as it gets. Have heard it's a lifesaver. Anyone used it?

Popping back to see how smlsave is, but no news is good news;)

lansinoh is totally a life saver.

    Hello ladies and babies :)

I'm really excited ... we've just bought our big family car! We were going to wait until next year and try and manage but all of a sudden I got this urge to have a look and see what was available in our price range now. I was adamant we wouldn't get one on credit. We've managed to part-ex ours and we had enough in savings to pay the rest in cash :D We've got a Renault Grand Espace .... it feels like a bus compared to our current little car, but it is roomy and practical, and we can now fit all 4 kids in when this little monkey arrives :p DH said it was lovely to drive, so I hope I can cope with it once I get well enough to drive again.

Just had the antenatal clinic on the phone saying I don't need to see my consultant tomorrow, but I've insisted I still want to go up to the day unit for a membrane sweep, which they've said I can do at 10am. My induction is booked for 9.50am on Sunday (very precise) should that not work. They don't have my antibody results, but to be honest as I am being induced on Sunday anyway I don't see that it matters now what they are.

Baby can now literally come whenever he likes as we are 100% prepared. Well, we haven't got the car home yet as they are giving it a full service and MOT as part of the deal, but as soon as that is done we can have it. Expecting to be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Labour vibes to all who need them - smlsave in particular!!!

Ooh - is that the nipple cream? Usually £10 odd?
Debs did you get the results of your GTT? think i missed an update?

    Puzzled x

I think it's a case of no news is good news with the result - no news so far!

Talking of freebies/bargains - a contact at work gave me a Baby Bjorn carrier the other day (usually £60 I think!) and a colleague gave me a moses basket and stand yesterday. The moses basket is pink (and we're team yellow) but have seen some replacement covers on Ebay for £20 - bit of a bargain I think!!

    xDx

We are going to see Pendulum too :j cant wait, although will stand on the slopes around the sides to stop my belly being knocked! I went to see Basement Jaxx and Ian Brown at Eden when pregnant with DD and that was 6 years ago, it was brilliant!x

?? Nasty boss has just sent me an abrupt email asking me to buy maternity clothes and send receipts to the company for reimbursing. Since I already bought and am wearing, and knowing he doesn't care if I'm reimbursed (and also, knowing him) I'll take it as an inference the navy and blue stuff I've already bought isn't good enough. Since I never submitted the receipts in the first place, I'll do so now to Payroll and wait and see if anything more is said.
It isn't baby-paranoia- he's already previously asked me to find the exact shade of navy and lightblue, preferably with the same pinstriping as my work suit! :) He's also hum-hawed over one shirt as it's 'a little bit darker than the others. Can't you just buy a slightly lighter one?' It was such a tiny difference too- the difference you get when you stand in the sun and shade!

Supermaiden, my contractions were every 4 minutes the whole labour, and my waters never broke til i was 10cm, so i decided to go up to the hospital when the pain got more severe and the TENS machine was permanantly on the boost setting. If the same happens this time I'm hoping I'll just know when i want to go to the hospital. :)

Congrats on the new car MrsSpendalot! I have the 5 seater renault people carrier and it's great. The 7 seater is only a little bit bigger so it'll be dead easy to drive. I want one!!
