Good luck smlsave. :j
I had my appointment at the aau today, according to the scan Harrison is approx 5lb 6oz atm which they said is about right for my dates (i'm 34 +5).
His heartbeat was too high so they strapped me to a monitor for an hour which didn't make any difference & they were debating whether to let me come home or send me down to the labour ward for further monitoring.
Luckily they sent me home although they couldn't explain why his heartbeat was so fast they have put it down to the fact that he was moving about so much (probably due to to all the poking & proding).
They gave me a prescription for Ranitdine so hopefully my heartburn will soon be under control.
I'm not looking forward to the heartwave they have predicted for this weekend & will probably be spending most of it laid on the soff with a fan blowing on me.
I hope everyone else is well, labour vibes to everyone who wants them.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Woohoo well done. You've certainly had a tough time with spd and signed off work etc. I'm sure a few weeks ago you wouldn't have expected to get to 39 weeks. I bet it'll be worth all the suffering. xx
Oh it will be well worth it once it's all over and I can gaze into his little eyesBreast_Cancer_Survivor wrote: »

Hi ladies am still lurking to see how everyone is doing, good luck smlsave!
I agree with grateful lansinoh is brilliant stuff but can I also recommend if you are breastfeeding and in those first few days your nipples crack like mine did, to rub the colostrum onto them. I was given this tip by one of the midwifes and it worked wonders!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -

I can't remember if I used lansinoh cream or not last time, but I remember being advised re the colostrum too. I seem to recall Kamillosan was quite good also. Oh, and DS has gooey eyes a few days after birth and the HV advised to use breastmilk to clean his eyes too rather than use eye drops. It has a multitude of usesOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Lansinoh was good for me - and colostrum/breast milk.
Am now 37+4 so just over 2 weeks to go and torn between wanting baby to arrive and wanting to enjoy sleeping through the night for as long as possible (well mostly).
I'm starting to feel worried at how I'm going to cope with a toddler and a newborn. Nothing I can do about it now anyway.

I must be the only one who didn't get any relief from using breastmilk/colostrum on their nipples. Didn't make any difference at all
I'm actually looking for a nipple cream that does NOT contain lanolin (as i am allergic to it!)-has anyone seen any creams that would be suitable? I'm going to ask the midwife about it-as i couldn't find anything to help last time around.
