    here's hoping eh?
i'm packing my daughters bag to take to Nannas just in case, and whizzing through the house so if anything does happen, i have a tidy house to come home to. i have absoultely no money in the house though so i'm gonna take a stroll to the cash machine, but thats only a 5 min walk.
i'm not getting my hopes up though, son was bang on time, daughter was ten days over.........but ive never had discharge this early either, i did ring the MW and she said to keep an eye on it but it does sound like a show so all i can do is wait and see :)
    Skint, but happy (ish):p

    Morning everyone!
Congrats to Doglover & Jcr. So jealous that you're having baby cuddles. Went to see a friend this week who has a 1 week old girl and it made me so impatient for our little one to arrive.

Anyhoo, I'm posting because I wanted to let you know that is you haven't already got a carseat, Boots have a few with offeres on at the minute. I ordered a Maxicosi Cabriofix for £90 and it had triple points on it, so 1080 points which I can use next week if the baby event happens! Thought it might be useful for some of you.

Oh and I'm 32 weeks today so I guess I can start on the RLT to strengthen my lady muscles!

The 3 for 2 Baby event is definitely happening, starts on Wednesday 24th and runs for 3 weeks to the 13th September.

yeah well done WW on the private physio i hope it works well for you!

Can I ask your opinions on something.

My DD1 is 9 years old her pram and car seat are still her and in fab condition. Pram has been on the cupboard under the stairs and is a graco travel system. I have cleaned it up and it is fit to use.

Is the car seat okay to use? I put in it several sealed black bags and i wraped it in bubble wrap and put it in the attic so it wouldnt get dropped or damaged. If i get it out leave it to air and clean all the covers and straps will it be safe to use? or would it be safer to buy a new one?

    Any advice would be great

I don't get why so many people are booked in for sweeps already, before they are over due. And why so early - 39 and 40 weeks? Sure baby isn't even overdue at that stage.

I'm not expecting to be overdue, wasn't with DD, but I'll be waiting till at least 41 weeks before they are getting near me. I'm a coward and don't want the extra pain of an induced labour!!

Sequenna what a GORGEOUS BOY you have there!!!!

Here's hoping we get some good news from JCR soon :)

Technically you are not overdue until 42 weeks so your sweep is booked early too :p

It is recommended you do not use a car seat more than 4-5 years old as the safety features change and webbing/ties degrade so no.. bin it and get a new one.. his is your babys life you cold potentially be taking a risk with :D

the pram will be fine obviously

  • Fingers crossed for you Twinkle!

Great news on the private physio Womble - really hope it helps :)

Jenjade - personally I would buy a new one. The safety standards have changed an awful lot over the past few years and DD's one may not be up to standard anymore.
