Is the car seat okay to use? I put in it several sealed black bags and i wraped it in bubble wrap and put it in the attic so it wouldnt get dropped or damaged. If i get it out leave it to air and clean all the covers and straps will it be safe to use? or would it be safer to buy a new one?
Any advice would be great
not sure if quoting right but am not sure it would be safe, won't the plastic clips and rubber bits have degraded? It may appear safe but you wouldn't want it to break at the worst time.0 -
thats peeps,
I was thinking of getting a new one and can afford it so it is not an issue just didnt want to waste money on a new one if i dont need a new one.
yeah i get to do shopping for a car seat now.
You are all right it is not worth risking the babies safety. Thanks for the advice:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Oooh I'm jealous!
Mind you even if I had ice cream it's not ideal to eat it in front of the kids and say they can't have it it's mine lol.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thank you all for your congratulations, we are very proud and I especially am glad that the birth is out the way. We're still at hosp but should be off in about 30 mins.
I will get home have a rest and then come back with more details.

i'm exhausted today, i feel really manky and my legs hurt. sleeping, all of a sudden seems to become a problem, can't manage more than 2 hours at a time  and i keep waking my self up snoring
i've decided i can't put off packing my hospital bag any longer - denial is doing me no good :rotfl: i'm planning a home birth but have been told it's best to have it packed just in case - not that i have everything yet!0 -

Massive congratulations to Twilight, JCR and Doglover:j I hope you and your wee one get home and settled soon Doglover x
Still no change with me, i had a long walk around town last night after dinner and bounced on my ball when I got home but all to no avail. I guess baby is just too comfy in there.
Lirin, I vaguely recall that you are from my neck of the woods. Were you at J1 by any chance lol
Winnie, I didn't find the sweep to be that bad. It was more thorough:eek: than I expected lol but definitely more uncomfortable than painful, at least for me. It didn't work in my case anyway:( I'm having a lazy day here, watching dvds in bed as I can't be bothered doing anything else. I'm tired, constipated and a bit of a grump today so its the best place for me probably. Sorry for the whinge, hope you all having a better day x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0
