Claire, never realised you were this direction! Antrim area. PM if you fancy meeting up sometime! Planning to drop into J1 at some point soon- most of the better shops are gone now, though, it's handy just as it's close.

I know I am a bit late on this but was someone talking about pregnancy bands earlier? I've got the one the physio gave me, I never wore it. Its like the emma jane ones (which aren't wide but velcro together) but its really wide. Its not like the REALLY heavy duty ones that go under and over bump.

I think its a large one though. But if someone wants it and I can find it in one of these boxes I am happy to post it!

On another note, a nice lady off freecycle gave mum a britax child seat that should fit in Fluffys car, think its a maxi cosi or something

Well back from the sweep that wasn't. MW had a good go but said cervix was only open a tiny bit so couldn't really do it effectively. I was going to have another one next wednesday but they can't fit me in now so will be Friday instead unless baby decides to make an appearance of his own accord before then.

Have been given a leaflet about being induced but can't bring myself to read it yet.

Thinking of you Claire - maybe the grumpiness means things could start to happen soon x

Grrrrrrrr... RANT ALERT. Just back from my consultant appointment at the hospital. TOTAL waste of time as its taken pretty much a whole day to get there, wait, and get back.
Got there 15 mins before my 12pm appointment. Signed in. Waited till 12.45, got called to a room where a midwife took my BP, and INSISTED on talking to me and asking questions for me to reply whilst she did it. Despite me telling her that talking during BP makes my rate high. Rate was high (surprise). Took it again promising she wouldnt make me talk this time, but kept asking things so i ignored her till it was done. Perfect rate (surprise).
Midwife left the room, left me there 20 mins more for the consultant to arrive. She sat down, opened my notes and said. "Oh, i dont know why they have booked you to see me today. Why are you here? (Queue me saying, err, because your colleague booked me to come today!) There is nothing to say/do. All been done. Ummm. Right, OK. No, no idea why you are here, so eat healthily, try not to put on more than 1.5stone total. And see you at 36 weeks. bye"

*sigh*. Seriously, How on earth am i supposed to know why i'm there, if they don't? I've pee'd my boss off big time having two 12pm appointments 2 days running, and todays one, i missed 2 important meetings for. Unhappy bunny!

Claire.. fingers crossed for some movement for you soon!

Kira, that sounds like my last app with the consultant. Booked for 12, turned up at 1140, got told (after 40 mins I think) they'd shifted my app to 1000, but no-one had contacted me- nurse made it sound as if I should have divined that myself....
Had scan, was booked for consult after, who looked blankly at me and the convo was yours from there on..... :)

Lirin, yup that sounds right! My name is ALWAYS at the very bottom of their printed lists, so i assume thats why i am always called last or second last. Really annoying. Would understand it if my surname began with Z, but i'm sure there are people with names further down the alphabet than mine!

TBH, i wasnt impressed with the consultant who saw my first time, was a bit over zealous, and uncertain- i was supposed to see todays woman, but they had F***ed up and not called me AT ALL after my 13 week scan, and she had left the clinic, so saw her junior instead. It would seem that this junior booked me in for today unnecessarily, as well as for one too many scans/clinic appointments. I have one booked for 28 weeks, and another at 36 weeks. Todays consultant wanted me to cancel the 28 week, as "she personally wouldnt have booked me for it". Not so bothered about seeing her at 28 weeks, but given the cr*p, i'm tempted to keep it, so that i get another viewing of girlie bean at the extra scan! I'll see how i feel nearer the time.

Ahh I've missed so much, congrats to twilight, jcr and doglover! Hope you and the babies are well.

My mum has finally gone, house back to normal and I can relax with my feet up on the sofa. I must have walked at least 3 or 4 miles a day for the past 5 days, I'm exhausted, also just jumped onto the scales to find out I've lost another 3kg, so that's 6kg since my booking in appointment  doesn't look like I have though, crazy!

My OH is off ALL weekend, so I really can't wait for a lazy one, we've not had a weekend together for a few months.

Hope everyone else is good and plodding on as best as you can :D
