    Congrats JCR!!

Well I have news too . . . . . My gorgeous little boy, Alistair James entered the world this morn at 3.58am weighing in at 7.15.

Waters went at 7.45 ish but absolutely no contractions. Went to hosp to be checked and induction booked for 2 days later. Contractions started mildly about 10 ish. Stayed at home till 2.30 ish as it hadn't been long but pain quite bad and needing to push. Arrived at hospital with baby crowning and finally given a bit of gas and air and delivered with nothing else about an hour later!

Will get back on later but feeling pretty tired now!

Good lick Claire and Claireloo x

    Congrats JCR and Doglover!

Nothing new here- I'd said jokingly yestarday to my boss I wanted to swap our car keys- he's a people carrier, I've a sports car- as mine was getting a tad hard to get in and out of at times. Bucket seats aren't very helpful in pregnancy, I've discovered.
Got back to my desk to find my boss had found a wider bigger seat for me in one of the stores- it's great, as I have to sit a lot with my legs open just to get comfortable!

Got home last night and DH had run me a lovely bath (pretended to be a hippo for a bit), and then took me to Homebase to buy paint for nursery, followed by all you can eat Chinese at a local restaurant- I'm stuffed still!
We've also made bets- starters on the date baby arrives, main courses on it's gender, and dessert on weight. We'll see who guesses closest!
  • Congratulations JCR and Doglover! Lovely names, can't wait to see photos! xxx

    Gorgeous pic Sequeena!

Womble - So sorry you've had the same carpy experience as Pigpen :( the system is completely screwed. I'm in Cornwall and lucky in that I got to see a physio (its a self referral system here) but not a specialist obstetric one so, as lovely as he was to look at, he was useless because he was scared to treat me.

I haven't found anything that even starts to ease the pain. I've tried pillows, support bands, hot baths, not moving, massage, stretching, moving slowly, strong painkillers and literally nothing touches it. Some days are worse than others and some days I'm more productive. The past few days have been hideous but I'm starting to get used to the increased levels of pain. Last time I saw my GP he suggested seeing an osteopath or accupuncture, which may well help, but I just can't afford it. Ah well.

The weather is supposed to be a bit brighter here today so I'm going to get the baby clothes washed. Have been waiting for the plasterer all week but he's been a no show and I haven't been able to get hold of him either so blah to that as well.

Aaaaanyway, labour vibes to those who want them, hope people's pain eases and that we all get some sunshine :) xxx

    Morning all!

    Lovely pic sequeena!!!!!!

Congrats to JCR and Doglover :)

Was woken at 12:10 last night with OH friend ringing him to say what time they are going to work this morning! I dived out of bed cause didnt know what the ringing was (its a new phone with a very loud ring!) then when OH got up at 4:30 I managed to get back to sleep for once, until about 6 when neighbours started to have scaffolding put up arghhhhhhhhhhhh now I have got myself worked up had a major rant down phone to OH and I've got back and stomach ache, on the positive side because I was mad I went stomping round the house cleaning up so have made a good start with that lol, OK rant over feel a bit better after letting it out :)

And I won a john lewis £50 voucher yesterday which was a nice suprise :) might be very MSE and save it for the crimbo sales otherwise it isnt gonna stretch very far lol.

Hope everyone has a good day and we have more new arrivals soon, labour vibes to those in need :)

    xx
