We're getting on well thanks! Just put her to bed now so am making the most of the peace! It really is the most amazing thing in the world & I can't remember what I used to do before she was here!

Also - I miss my bump, I don't have anywhere to rest the laptop anymore :(

That's really lovely to hear and I'm really happy for you. Make sure you post some more pics for us at some point. In fact I'd better learn how to do that for when my little boy decides to join the outside world!

It's funny how different people have done different things with RLT etc yet from what I can tell from here, there's seems to be little more than luck as far as labour goes. Won't stop me from carrying on though just in case!

Right I'd better go and dish up dinner so ttfn

RLT didn't work for me but some people swear by it so hope it works for you doglover x

I don't miss my bump... I miss feeling his hiccups. He still gets them now and I remember what it was like when I was pregnant :happylove

We took Thomas for his first pictures yesterday, was lovely!

Had my 36 week appt earlier, have a sweep booked for 39 weeks and will have another at 40 weeks if nothing happens - am hoping that taking evening primrose oil will work in conjunction with the sweep. I really dont want another c-section

I don't get why so many people are booked in for sweeps already, before they are over due. And why so early - 39 and 40 weeks? Sure baby isn't even overdue at that stage.

I'm not expecting to be overdue, wasn't with DD, but I'll be waiting till at least 41 weeks before they are getting near me. I'm a coward and don't want the extra pain of an induced labour!!

Sequenna what a GORGEOUS BOY you have there!!!!

Here's hoping we get some good news from JCR soon :)

he has given me a note for work request reduced duties and spend more time sitting phoned work and told them and they said sorry not really possible at the moment. my responce is tough really i cant stand all day need to be sat with leg elevated told her to refer me to occupational health and the doc has now signed me off for the week.

If your employer cannot comply with your Doctor's advice then you are not able to go to work - end of!! And you should remain off work until work can comply or your GP says that you are fit to do the work they want you to do.

I'm flippin furious!! I've been having trouble with my back when sleeping for the past few weeks. I went to see my GP a couple of weeks ago and he said he would refer me to an obstetric physio. I went back to see the GP a few days later and he said he had left a message for my midwife to do the referral. So I text her to remind her to do it as in the past she hasn't been the most reliable person. She rang me a few days later and assured me she would do it the next day. That was over a week ago.

I had a midwife appointment today, my usual one is on holiday so I had a stand in. I mentioned that I hadn't heard anything about a physio appointment yet and she looked on the computer and said 'There's nothing on here about a referral, I'll just ring the physio dept to ask if they've received it' As she was talking on the phone she said 'So you haven't had a referral for her?' and I just burst into tears. She made an appointment for me while she was on the phone, but the earliest is in 3 weeks time! I am flipping livid!! icon_mad.gif I am in agony with my back every night, I am up and down out of bed trying to relieve the pain. It is getting so bad that sometimes I can't get out of bed myself and OH has to get up and help me, I can't roll over without him pushing me. We are both sleep deprived, but luckily for me GP gave me a sick note so I can sleep during the day. Poor OH still has to go to work. If they had have done the referral when I originally saw the GP then the 3 week wait for an appointment would nearly be over.

When I came out I rang my manager and cried again. He said he would speak to our Occ Health dept to see if they do obstetric physio, but I know they don't as I spoke to them on Monday icon_cry.gif Sorry just had to vent because I am so mad icon_evil.gif

I've been to Boots today to get a pregnancy support band to see if that will help. I didn't get the one that was mentioned on here yesterday as the velcro didn't appeal and it looked a bit flimsy to me. I got one that looks like a panty girdle :rotfl: It was £10.50 so I thought I'd give it a try.
  • evening ladies.

had my 36 week midwife appointment today, all went well, baby is no longer back to back and is 2/5 engaged :j which explains the interesting pains in the cervix area, the pressure and the extra weeing - went 5 times last night!!! could also explain the slight cramping i've been getting, maybe?

right i'm off to read back before i spend the evening bouncing on my ball whilst swigging from a bottle of gaviscon :D

oh WW thats dreadful ;-( bloody professionals forget that we are real people in real pain.
Hope the support band helps a little i had a bad back before i feel pregnant and it still hurts a lot but the pain in my legs wins over all the other pains! i'll probably deliver the baby moaning about the pain in my legs rather then the labour pains. lol

I have told my manager i want her to refer me to occ health to get them to review what i can and cant do!

Womble.. welcome to my world!!! It is so frustrating and annoying it makes you feel like you are a burden rather than keeping them in a job. I was told 4-6 week wait 24 weeks ago! Actually I was told 4-6 week wait April 2010 when I was pg with Squeak.. I had 2 referrals with her and no appointment then 3 referrals this time.. then missed the chuffing appt by 45 minutes because I am less important than the children so my appts are not worth remembering :( The next available appt is Sept 15th.. the latest I am having this baby is the following week... so I turned it down.

I find getting on the toilet difficult.. I use the hand basin to heave myself off.. but I cant sit on anything hard so dining chairs and toilet seat are out.. which means I then cant wee because it hurts too much. I cant turn over in bed and OH cant help because I dont know how to move without it hurting more I just have to muddle through myself though I do wake him up frequently. It takes me about 20 minutes to get out of bed in a morning, thankfully I have the cot my side so I heave myself to my feet using that. I cant shower and washing my hair over the side of the bath is getting harder as I cant bend from the hips. I tend not to get dressed unless I have to go out because it is nigh on impossible.

I am fed up of feeling crappy and being in pain :(
