mine took around 25 mins the other day, its just so they can go through your notes and do a birth plan, and general chat about how you are and if you have any worries etc etc also the general measuring and heartbeat and which way is baby laying

you know i feel exactly the same, i've got 16 days left but i doubt i'll last that long (well i'm hoping i dont) i feel so uncomfy and the last few days i've been having alot of discharge and the urge for a number two but not actually having one (sorry TMI 1st thing in the morning), having a few twinges here and there but nothing to get excited about and i'm very restless, feel like i should be doing something constructive.hmmmmmmm........you watch me go the full ten days over, just my luck, and if i do, she'll be born on her brothers birthday

Happy days Missy!!! And how lovely of the girl's Dad to clean the place!!

I had a graco car seat and base for my Nissan Micra. Also used it in other cars. It fitted no probs in the back of OH's sporty 2-door car. If i was taking baby in a friends car i always took the base with me as it was MUCH easier to fit the base and then click the car-seat into it. Think baby was in it for the first 12 months then we bought 2 cheapy car seats from Argos, £35 and £45 each, tho they looked identical.

Hope everyone's aches and pain ease up for today. I was swimming again last night but don't think i'll go again as my feet were cramping a bit and i was totally paranoid that people might kick my bump (breast-stroke) when swimming past me in the narrow lanes.
Starting to get fed up being preggers now. Still 6 weeks to go too...

I don't know why people leave places like that... I left a carpet dirty once but the damp had wrecked it anyway and I had heard the incoming tenants say they were replacing the carpets at their own expense, they actually came round and told me this to save me the expense of having it cleaned, and that they had told the LL.

LL/LA still tried to charge me for it though, until I told them I'd take them to court if I didn't get the deposit back in full (especially after they left me 3 months with a foot long gap where the windowsills should be - you could put your arm out up to the elbow - and a compromised support which should have been fixed same day because we were lucky upstairs didn't fall down on us in the 3 months it wasn't supported)

When we eventually move out of here we'll try to set up an overlap with the new place by a couple of days to have the carpets steam cleaned, clean throughout and touch up any marks that won't clean off.

Midwife went fine, everything back to normal thank goodness.

Still unbelievably fed up, in stupid amounts of pain, piddled off I've had to start using crutches again and just generally BLAH.

Could easily just sit here and cry

I think its a longer appt for me as im going for a VBAC and under consultant led care, so they have a few extra forms to go through.

I am really leaning toward a homebirth or waterbirth which the consultant told me i couldnt have but i know midwife is fully supportive so am going to have a chat about it today.
