Can it not go in the middle seat which is a safer position in the car anyway? (In an accident there is more car to crush before the middle seat is crumpled it is therefore safer and passengers sitting here are more likely to survive a crash)
Will it go behind the passenger seat if the seat is moved as far forward as possible? You might then have to sit in the back if there is no leg room though
We got the Britax SHR which is one of the smallest ones we found.. hence snakey babe had outgrown it by 8 months! It had plenty of room in the focus with a highback booster either side! It can be fitted just using a seat belt too which was hndy as there were no isofix in that car.
Its a primo viaggio and its a wide car seat so fitting it in the middle is out of the questionI'm also gigantically tall (ok so only 5ft 9) but I have to have lots of legroom in the front or I am really uncomfortable.

Now this is always in their baby event, but I've seen it on ebay for about £26. I wonder if this would do for a while? I don't mind if he outgrows it because I have budgeted for baby expenses so it could do for a couple of months. I'd leave the mamas and papas here with the parentsMoney money money.

Anything is better than the PV car seat.. I have had 2 and never used either in the car.. it should fit in the middle though the bases fix in with a seatbelt failing that if there is no airbag in the passenger seat strap the car seat there and you sit in the backLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all,
Abby - another vote for the Graco seat, I had one that fit fine in the back of my old mark II Fiesta. Might still have it actually - if you're struggling let me know and I'll send DH up in the loft to have a look.
Well the pain reached new heights last night. Can't even explain it, was totally horrendous. Haven't managed to get out of bed yet either, DH pulled me up into a sitting position, gave me breakfast and got my crutches out of the car so I'm hoping they'll help.
DS's dad's baby arrived yesterday evening - a little girl called Lexi. Still waiting to hear from DS to see how he's feeling, hope he's ok.
Off to midwife at 10am to see how my blood pressure is doing. Not hopeful tbh but we'll see.
Hope everyone is doing ok, labour vibes to those who want them xxx0 -
Morning girls
Can't read back as the internet police are in full swing (someone must have used a rude word so I can't view any posts) but labour vibes to the boldies
Have felt odd the past couple of days - irritable and agitated. Bump and lower regions feel achy and I just can't seem to settle. Have a nagging feeling I should be taking my maternity notes everywhere with me too.........
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Thank you for info about support bands.
Money is a little tight, more just that we're trying to save all we can, and I'd seen the Mothercare belts at £40, but had been a bit put off by the price- if it didn't work I'd have hated the expense.
I'll be mentioning my back to the midwife next Wednesday when I see her, as last night I barely got any sleep- it was constantly pinging no matter which way I lay. I will be stressing how much it's hurting, up to now I've been a bit shy maybe!
I did buy the Boots one Alison- think I can spare a fiver! It's a bit weird though that you have to go to Boots to collect the points- my nearest is miles away... Not terribly efficient but can see why they're doing it. Maybe on Saturday, DH wants to look in Mothercare!
Ddebski, just saw your post. I've left my notes in our hall, and DH has instructions to grab both them and the bag below if he gets word from me. Maybe a tad premature, I've had my bag packed for ages. My boss's wife is a couple of weeks ahead of me and was recently hospitalised for a weekend for high BP and proteins, though she's fine now- I rechecked my bag that night to make sure I had everything. Bump is constantly itchy. And sore. I have moisturiser in my pocket, and constantly rubbing some in which staves it off for 20 mins or so.0 -
Abby I had a Graco car seat in my old S reg fiesta - was fine had it for a year. DD1 fitted it for 14 months, they are quite spacious, but I got rid of the car when she was 13 months old for something more roomy as I ws pregnant with number 2 and was sick of struggling with the pram in the boot (plus mine was 11 years old and I scrapped it under the scheme for a brand new car).OPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf

Morning Ladies
We we finally got evil tenants out :j they were supposed to go on tuesday, we were all ready to pick the keys up, then her dad phoned me and said could they have an extra day as she hadnt cleaned it the whole time she was living there and it was disgusting so he wanted the chance to clean it.
So yesterday OH and his mum went to get the keys whilst i waited in the car, she wasnt there but her dad was, he said he was really embarrassed about what she had done and that she had left the house in such a state that it had taken him an hour just to clean the bath  Apparently she is happy just sitting on her a*se claiming benefits and doesnt see the need to clean, she has 2 children and its them that i feel sorry for.
Eventually i went it, and the whole house needs re-painting, there are cracks around all the door frames where the doors have been slammed and the garden looks like a jungle. But it could have been a lot worse, and her dad had left it spotless.
36 week midwife appt today, which is 40 mins long apparently, OH is going to come with me as he hasnt been to any of the others and wants to hear the heartbeat and get involved as much as possible from here on in.
Have a good day all, and thanks for your support with evil tenants xxxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -

and how good of her dad to clean it too!

Sounds like her dad has more respect and common decency than his daughter. (Now I sound like my Dad!)0
