Afternoon all,
Good luck JCR, and Claire and Doglover, hope things start moving for you soon.
Had a rather gorgeous 12 hours sleep with only 3 pee breaks and 1 gaviscon & water break. (Sorry I know I will now be hated.)
On the down side, my hips now feel like an entire bunch of screwed up nerves! Have physio on Monday but after reading others on here's reactions I'm not holding up much hope.
I'm also fed up of not having maternity clothes that fit, although I have 3 nice dresses that fit, that would ordinarily be used for going out for nice dinners/weddings etc, but I'm kind of thinking I might as well get the most out of them so wearing them just for leaving the house!
Winnie - a friend of mine uses pillow cases as they are the perfect size on her MB to be "fitted sheets" and much cheaper.
I'm a bit confused about how to do bedding in the moses basket, I was going to put baby at the bottom (feet to foot) and tuck a cellular blanket around him/her upto shoulder height. Is that right? I hadn't even considered flat sheets.
Also, what am I supposed to be doing with my gym ball? I sit on it lots but just because it's comfortable. How can I encourage baby to vacate?
Two more night shifts to go and then I'm on maternity :-) Wooo. Felt a bit sad last night because I said goodbye to some of the people on another shift and they were lovely, but I know my emotionally backward shift won't be anything like that on Friday morning :-(
I de cluttered our living room at the weekend in preperation for easy dusting when nipper arrives, and we re arranged the furniture... I love being in here now and wondered why we didn't do it earlier!
Am starting to panic about affording maternity leave now... and about labour... and about whether I'll be a good parent.
Going to go and get more food now. xxBump due 22nd September0 -

Labour - expect it to hurt and you'll be fine!!
I've always said - I would rather go through the labour than the 9 months of "hell" lol0 -
Managed to cross post about 10 posts! (I really should post quicker!)
For the swaddle things that Mimi said, if you do a Mothercare price match from amazon.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004I9NYPW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE to mothercare http://www.mothercare.com/SwaddleMe-Pack-Neutral-Swaddling-Wraps/dp/B004ORS8ZO for a pack of 3 it's £22.15 with a £10 MC gift voucher, so only about £4 each.
Alison- I have a similar problem, especially at work. My customised uniform isn't long enough to go over my bump so my shirt only reaches my belly button now - sooo attractive. Good job I've only got 2 shifts left!
Mimi - The bands are handy if you've got under bump trousers and a top that's getting a bit short to make sure you're covered. Enjoy your pram, will you go and set it up before baby comes?
ETA - thanks, so long as it's not an outrageous idea I'll stick to it - there seems to be so many ways and opinions on how to do things! and as for labour hurting, I don't think it's the pain that I'm worried about - that's a given! it's more when it's going to happen and how long it'll take and whether I've got the right things packed, and all the bits you don't know what to expect on.Bump due 22nd September0 -

We have the marina, although was after much umming and ahhing. Couldnt decide between ebony and marina, OH told me if I didnt hurry up and make a decision he was flipping a coin for it :rotfl:
We have also had the differnt chassis.
OHs mum nearly had a fit when I said we were just going to store it in the nursery for now, insisted that OH took it round to her house.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Ok - im dumb - how do you do a price match with Mother care?
ah i see about the bands now - I just cut my jeans up and shoved some elastic in them so dont have that problem lol
My mum is setting it up (in case bits are missing) but under no circumstances is it coming into my house lolWe have the marina, although was after much umming and ahhing. I was looking at ebony and sugared almonds - i really wanted the lighter one, had a dark blue one with DD and it annoyed me as people assumed she was a boy (wasnt as dark as marina so am sure you will be fine!) but figured a light one isnt best choice lol
Seen some women with a pram hood accessorie the other day - WHAT THE HELL are people thinking of?! Found this on a friends FB:
WHY?????? i dont get it??????????0 -
on the subject of moses baskets and sheet. If you are planning to use grobags/sleppimg bags instead, how many do you need? It's a bit of a minefield when you start to think about sizes, togs etc.0

Just ring them and say you'd like to do a pricematch... It's hit and miss whether they try to charge you delivery though, I have rang back and spoke to someone else to get around it though.Bump due 22nd September0 -
